Food is great although there can be a bit of a wait, but good food is worth waiting for!

Nice pub good selection, menu & soup was excellent. Great place to watch the trains & just relax before going exploring around the engine sheds.

The Station Tavern is a nice pub right next to the level crossing and the railway station. A good selection of beers and hand pulled real ale like a proper pub should be.

Authentic English pub in the heart of the village. We had one of the 3 rooms upstairs and these are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic as was the authentic ales on hand engines. We were wet and the drying facilities are weak. The landlord had a grumpy disposition but we really couldn't complain about the service at all. Great stay.

I do like a good old English pub, I was disappointed on the selection of ales. The decor is interesting, didn't quite gauge an atmosphere as most people were sitting outside. Unfortunately, they finished serving food at 2pm on a Sunday. Not sure I'd go out my way to visit again, but that's my opinion.

With the café closed we decided to come here instead. And to tell you the truth. I'm glad that the café was shut. What an excellent 👌 fish 🐠 pie I had. Other half had a breakfast. He really enjoyed his food. A very busy pub.

Great food, and they bent over backwards to do off-menu food for our toddlers.

The only pub in the village. Popped in again recently (April 2022). Still great service from man behind the bar. Will call again soon. Guiness £4.80 a pint👍

Good food. A few less potato and a bit more sauce in the fish pie would have been better but the sauce was delicious. Scampi and chips to be recommended
