After a wonderful little stroll from Reeth recently, my wife and I came across The Bridge Inn at Grinton and decided to have a Light Lunch and a Real Ale for me, soft drink(the wife). Food was lovely and drinks lovely also, served by a friendly, polite gentleman so on our next Swaledale adventure we will be back.

You couldn't wish for a more welcoming hosts. The breakfasts are something else and really set you up for the day. Great selection of beers and food. We rarely go anywhere without Boris Johnston (our Daschund) so a perfect place for any doggie lovers....

We stayed a for a couple of nights on our Coast to Coast walk. friendly landlord and staff, all really helpful. Rooms were comfortable, all above the cosy welcoming pub. Lovely peaceful spot opposite the church and nearby river. They were able to make excellent packed lunches for our next day of walking. All the breakfasts and evening meals we had were very tasty and offered a great selection. Definitely recommend as a great stop over spot, and I would visit again if I'm ever in the area.

Had a great weekend here with the walking gang. A wonderful pub, good beer, and my room was clean, large and had a huge bath ! And thanks to Tracey for taking care of us so well at breakfast time.

Classic country pub. Friendly staff, roaring fire in the corner, dogs, good food and drinks. I had the steak pie which was tasty. Great to see they had 5 vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. Excellent evening option for anyone staying at the Dales Bike Centre just down the road.

Great food, great atmosphere with real fires. The food was amazing we had the chicken breast and chicken burger both were outstanding. This followed by the chocolate peanut brownie - delicious! After having walked 20km from Keld we decided to go here for food, an additional 1km down the hill in the rain and then another 1km up the hill. Best decision we made that day!

Had a couple of meals here. One inside which was spoilt by a local who drinks there swearing frequently. Having said that, the staff were friendly and efficient and both the beer and food were excellent. Try the the steak and ale pie. Really good and the chips are very good to. We'll worth a visit.

Visited The Bridge Inn while staying in the area, The bar is very well stocked with a good selection of local ales as well as branded drinks, the Staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly, although we didn’t have a dog with us, this is a pet dog friendly venue, definitely worth a visit if in the area.
