I’m speechless! It’s worth a trip from Croydon for the piece of haddock I just consumed. I had the pleasure of meeting the legendary make himself along with his glamorous assistant. Great chip shop, and perfect fish and chips.His fish cakes are the best we've ever tasted, My kids still visit Laceby just for Mick's food.... brilliant. His dad was as good, before him. Well done Mick.

The chips and large fish were absolutely delicious I also had a fish cake it's the best fish cake Ive ever had. If we stay in the area again we will definitely be back

Great tasting fish and chips. Open Tues thru Saturday lunchtimes and evenings till 8pm. If you want a large piece of fish or scampi may have to wait whilst it is cooked to order but service is usually fast. Off road parking in front of shop.
Micks place is one of 4 local Fish and Chip shops I use on a regular basis depending on day of week or journey location. At Micks it is lovely quality Fish and Chips, the only fault is the portion sizes, even the large portions at Mick's Place are, at best, equivalent to a medium size to anywhere else I regularly frequent and the smaller sizes are even worse. Would I still recommend Mick's Place? Yes I would but be ready to maybe buy an extra bag of chips to top up the portion size.

Nice clean shop, all catering done in full view. Staff courteous and friendly..... then there's the food - wow! Always hot. Always fresh. Always handled with care and ALWAYS DELICIOUS 😋

If you try the fish cakes you will never eat them from anywhere else. You can buy them for the freezer too. Our freezer is full of them! They are made from quality ingredients by somewhere who cares about their product.
Awesome fish and chips and great service. Very reasonable pricing and lovely fresh ingredients everytime.
Service was very fast and efficient. The staff was helpful and friendly. Considering it was good Friday, I was pleased with how quickly they was able to serve customers. The food was very nice and was very well priced. Would recommend this to anyone.
