I've had to wait since March 2021 to get my hands on a battered chip butty.
I saw the story on the Grimsby Telegraph website and had to try it.
I've only been to Grimsby 3 times since then so I was delighted to be able to finally have one.
The staff were lovely, and cooked me a fresh butty took abou
Booking for 14 including 5 small children. Friendly, helpful staff. First visit since restaurant refurbished. Lovely and clean. Food arrived quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Nicest mushy peas I've had in ages.
Funny enough I should really know better & learn from past mistakes but hey......I was starving!
£5.40 for jumbo sausage, chips & gravy😲 that's a bit on the steep side even from a decent chippy and this place isn't! The chips are chewy, sharp and crunchy. The sausage and gravy were half decent thou
Excellent taste and large size of haddock fried to perfection. Chips were tasty as well. As a foreigner it was precisely what I expected for the quality of English fish n chips. Lovely staff and nice restaurant.
Massively overpriced £7.40 for 2 jumbo sausages one portion of chips and curry sauce. Chips were Luke warm at best curry sauce was like water and the sausages tasted like they had been there all day will not be going back
Not too long a wait even for a Friday. Fish and chips very tasty. Only problem the just eats delivery drivers just shoved past and lent over you to grab the next delivery. No excuse me, all in all very rude.
If I could give it a zero I would absolutely disgusting. Can't people use a simple fryer anymore?! And what's with those prices?! £2 for a bag of chips that I've literally spat in the bin. What a waste of £13 I actually would go back and get my money if I could drive!
Rather shameful that this place is probably Grimsby's most central fish and chip shop, the fish was very poor quality and unappetizing, the batter was nasty too. I'm not surprised no customers in on Saturday lunch.
