I visited here on the weekend with my in-laws. The restaurant itself is nice with nice decor and a large outside seating area, which I'd imagine would be lovely to sit in throughout the summer.
The service was great. There was a bit of a delay with the halloumi, but the staff were really apologetic about it. The food was really nice and good value for money considering. Myself and my family were full and more than happy with the food.
I ordered the duck pancakes, which came on a hot stone, I just didn't realise how hot it would be and how messy it would be - good job that they give me a tea towel and an apron to wear! I still really enjoyed it though.
Popped in for lunch, we had a fantastic time, and all the food was hot and tasty with the bakewell cheese cake being the stand-out dish !! Service was fast and very perlite staff.
Nice food with good sized portions. Not too expensive but has a nice upmarket feel. Pudding was very nice.
Nice surroundings, booking easy, we asked for a different table to the one we were shown to as it was close to the entrance door which was accommodated quickly, there was four in our party, all meals were good, good selection of drinks.
Would definitely return, and this was not our first visit.
Update after another visit, there appears to be less choice on the menu and prices have increased, food is still good quality.
An excellent restaurant serving high-quality food and drink with a great atmosphere and excellent service.
We went for a meal for four people and right from the start we experienced excellent and attentive service.
The food is of excellent quality. I had a steak on a hot lava rock. A novel way of cooking steak but it allows you to try your steak rare or well done... you decide. I also had a side salad that was, fresh and crisp with a lovely light dressing.
A great atmosphere in lovely surroundings and at times the large TV's display a roaring fire which adds to the cosy feel.
An excellent meal.
1st time visit. Nice menu, from lunch snacks to full dinner al la carte. Friendly easy service with a nice relaxing vibe. Will visit again !

Lovely meal at The Gelsmoor Restaurant on Saturday, staff were very attentive but not overly so. Food was delicious, we were served quickly and portions are very generous. The wine was fabulous, we enjoyed a couple of bottles of the Malbec! Atmosphere was lovely too, would definitely recommend.
Our first time here and certainly won't be the last. Amazing food, with loads of options for everyone. Great service from all the lovely servers. Great friendly atmosphere and concept. This is now our place to go.
