We had here a stop with the motorhome (brit stops). So far the most beautiful place we had. Very friendly people, a magnificent view. In the evening we have eat in the restaurant. The food was very good and we had a table by the window. We enjoyed it very much. When we come to England again, we like to come back here.

I've been to the Royal Oak about 5 or 6 times. It's a really nice venue. I first went years ago for a workmates leaving do in which we had the venue at the rear of the garden. It's a really nice area. Other than that I've had a couple of meals in the inside restaurant and a couple of meals outside. The food is very good. I went recently and my main issue is that the cost has gone up. It was £18 for a fish and chips. It's a very good fish and chips but that's quite expensive for this type of venue. Another slight negative is that we were sat in the garden eating and we were the only people out there. And so we could hear the kitchen staff shouting and swearing at each other. Which isn't ideal when you are there with a child. It is a really nice venue and good food, worth trying.

Food is of a consistently high quality, but today it wasn't hot when brought to us, one star lost for that. The amount of ice cream accompaniment on the desserts is a bit stingy for the price - not even one scoop. Service is efficient when it comes, but too often there are long gaps when no-one shows - it took quite a while for us to get mint sauce and horseradish brought to us because no-one was around to ask (should have been brought with the meals in the first place!). Room for improvement. Food is very good though. Recommended

Amazing food with generous servings! Large pork chop nice and tender with mash with an infused twist! Well presented and very reasonable priced. Well worth the trip out to it, just be sure to ask for the WiFi password as signal is spotty.

We wanted to have a nice lunch in a local pub on our way to Sudeley Palace. I called ahead to book a table. The staff was friendly and professional. The pub itself looks amazing and the food was delicious. We ordered the ham terrine to share as a starter which was delicious. It was well prepared. As a main I have had the lamb chop which came out with his jus, potatoe gratin and crushed peas. It tasted so good. My friend ordered the falafel salad which came with Pitt’s bread, hummus, olives, roasted peppers and courgettes. And he also enjoyed his meal. We will definitely be back when visiting Cotswold.

We thoroughly enjoy going to TRO it's got a super atmosphere and always filled with locals. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, providing a great service. 8 of us ate here recently, I pre booked to ensure a table was available. We had a variety of different dishes, all excellently prepared and presented. With quite a few drinks, bottles of wine, mains, puddings, and coffee, it worked out at just under £50pp. This might be a little pricey for some, but it was certainly money well spent. I would certainly recommend this to others.

Excellent place for a meal. Excellent table service, great choice of drinks and a really friendly atmosphere too. Portions were generous and the food was well prepared and served. The location gives rise to superb Cotswold views whilst eating or drinking and the garden looks amazing. We will definitely go back here in late summer!

Yesterday six of us ate lunch in the pub garden. Only one section of it is open to the public but there are plenty of tables socially distanced for dining. I like the decor of the pub. Colourful with black and white photos of historic racing cars. The Royal Oak is popular with petrol heads, whether for the hill races or for the steam train that chugs past the bottom of the pub garden. Staff were friendly and efficient. Matthew was rather cheeky! 😂 I ate a huge sirloin steak with well-salted chips, gorgeous big field mushrooms and scrumptious pepper sauce at £22. My dad ate the Moroccan lamb tagine at £18. What a great pub. I look forward to revisiting.

If I could give 6 stars I would! I had heard about the view. Its reputation didn't do it justice! We were sat in the corner of the conservatory and it was breathtaking. I honestly felt like a VIP all night. The service was great, the food beautiful and there was even a children's menu with a colouring in page.

Had an excellent meal there in the conservatory. The service was attentive but not over eager. The food was hot, delicious and for a party of 11, we were all served at once. Couldn't fault it and would certainly recommend it.

Camped in my campervan in the car park. Rang ahead to check if this was ok, booked a table in advance. As we were running late we pre-ordered our food. When we arrived they immediately brought it out to us with a nice cold pint. Amazing ! The location, the food, the staff - perfect. They were super super friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more and we'll be back. We left early morning. Tidied up and even collected additional little bits of litter and returned all the bar glasses we could find. Thanks team. You're amazing !

I found the menu more varied than I expected from a country pub and can recommend trying the Caesar Salad - it's excellent. There is good attention to detail for the service and surroundings, a friendly team of staff and of course the rolling Cotswold views. Definitely worth a visit!

Great find! Good food, good service and a good atmosphere with lovely views over the Wynchcombe valley. We were only passing through the area but, if we go back, we would love to eat there again!!
