Called in today for the first time and it won't be the last! Sourdough pumpkin bread is made by angels! It is THE most delicious bread I have EVER tasted, if there's any of this bread left for lunch it will be a miracle and there's only me eating it! Gorgeous, dog friendly shop and very friendly helpful staff. Very highly recommended. The hubby has bought pies for lunch and a scrummy looking peanut butter and jelly donut, definitely not slimming world friendly but everyone deserves a treat. If you're in the area it's a must to visit!

Lovely cafe, great place to go eat cake after a dog walk! Amazing food, the pies and toasted sandwiches (made with homemade sourdough bread!) are delicious. I can never go without taking at least one cake away with me! Yum

Lovely village bakery with incredibly helpful staff. Their pizzas are delicious and we got one of each flavour for a hen do last weekend and everyone was raving about them! It was also a good excuse to try them all

The baked eggs was brilliantly presented. Exceptionally tasty and was served in a cast iron dish so it stayed hot. It is definitely Italy the tastiest item we have had in this Lake district visit . We almost didn't stop as it is on a little industrial unit estate bur don't that put you off. On the day we stopped (a Wednesday) it was humming. An oasis in the rain. Thankyou

We went a few times and it was too busy to get in. Possibly more because it was hard term. Better to go first thing and you should be fine. The coffee was nice, and mains were good, but deserts were a little disappointing. Carrot cake needed a layer of icing etc in the middle of the cake as it was just one big lump and felt a bit like it was missing something, and the raspberry slice was dense and we ended up leaving it. Staff seemed pleasant

I was taken to Bakehouse Born and Bread by my friend Jo. She lives in the neighbouring village and recommended it for breakfast on Saturday morning after parkrun. From the outside the place is somewhat nondescript, but inside it looks really inviting. There are tables of different sizes, and sofas in front of a wood burning stove. The queuing system seemed to confuse a lot of people (go left and queue along the wall to wait for a table, or go right and queue to the counter to order) but it all seemed to work out in the end. The menu is really inviting. I had the Brekky Bun with mushroom (there’s a bacon and sausage version too) which was really tasty, although if I order it again I’ll be asking to have it on sourdough toast as the potato bun was a little too sweet for my taste. To drink I had an oat milk latte, which was very good. The counter at the front was full of really inviting sweet and savoury treats. It was so difficult to pick just two! I think I’ll have to return to sample the rest! Highly recommended.

This place always delivers outstanding burgers and today was no exception. I chose the triple cheese burger which was oozing with cheese. The bun holds the burgers well and you don't end up with a soggy bun either. Poutine was Christmas themed and delicious enough for two to share or a meal on its own. A white hot chocolate biscoff was up there as the best hot chocolate drunk. The staff friendly and the place is done out well a nice decor. 10/10 well recommended 👌

Easily one of the best cafés I have ever been to. I only went to get a latte after a long run around Backbarrow but I will easily be back again in the future. The staff are polite and curtious and ensured my safety at all times regarding COVID. The staff were so nice in fact that they even forgot to charge me for my coffee and I had to remind them that I hadn't paid yet. Can't recommend it enough but please be sure to order through their app and select a time to pick up. I didn't realise this until I was at the Bakehouse itself but they still managed to make room for me to get a great coffee. The range of cakes, burgers and other foods is wide ranging and surely has something to suit everyones tastes. Looking forward to going back there again. Thank you for a great experience.

What a extremely cosy little place this was to find. It is somewhat hidden away but that makes it all the more worth it. Turned up with 5 people to have breakfast. Ordered a Sausage and Egg bap which was divine with their fresh sour dough bread along with a mighty fine Latte. Service was extremely pleasant, staff where ever so helpful and didn't even wait that long for our food. Hightly recommend paying a visit 5/5

This was already a wonderful place to visit in Greenodd before its recent move to larger premises near by. I'm guessing the migration was required as its popularity grew. The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. Well worth a visit to eat in or take out

First time here, taken by family members who are regular customers. Very good breakfast: I'd chosen Eggs Beni and others chose hash browns... Both pictured below. Recommended.

Would never normally be bothered to leave reviews however.. can’t get over how amazing the food is here, unique offerings, great depths of flavour and still hearty portions.

Our first visit last Sunday - the best breakfast we have had in years!! I was rendered almost speechless, amazing. Everything cooked to perfection, the Hash Browns were amazing! I asked for a couple of items to be left off as I don't like them and they replaced them with extras - extra sausage, extra bacon, extra hash brown and extra egg!! I can't recommend enough! I can't wait for our next visit First Class

All I can say is I didn't want my Eggs Bene to end! Delicious. Best I've ever had. It is a small, but perfectly formed dining area so be prepared to wait a bit or get your timings right! You will NOT be disappointed.

The most amazing atmosphere. A buzzing cafe with great a ambience and fantastic staff. Oh, and the coffee and food, well everything we had and watched others devour were absolutely delicious. We met a lady who visits 3 times a week... a brilliant recommendation in itself. So glad we now only live 6 miles away 😊

Lovely food had pi**ed pig burger doubled up with fries and shared some cheese sauce and cajun chicken nachos, definitely would have again but would love to try the other burgers, washed it down with a pineapple express pale ale which was equally delicious

Extremely friendly staff, all very knowledgable about their products! Great value for money - it cost £20 for me and my partner to eat, have two drinks and a cake to share. The food speaks for itself, it’s delicious and the bread (that they make and sell) is also very good. Always very busy, so booking is advised! They also do takeaway pizza nights - there is such a good variety of different pizzas, and the veggie ones are very tasty! Again, very busy so recommend ordering in plenty of time.

Had a sausage sarnie in the potato bun - highly recommend! Also got myself a souvenir. The cinnamon bun is a little dry… but the apple cronut and other baked goods are to die for!
