Very friendly staff and locals, amazing food that just got better and better each time, loved everything we had, amazing atmosphere, it's definitely the place to go. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Very impressed. Arrived thinking we were going to get average food and a pint.
Left thinking I' going back again next time we visit the area. The food was far better than we expected and the pint of beer I had was perfect. Highly recommended
I give the team here 5 stars because of the cleanliness of the ladies toilets. Also the carvery was the best I and two others with me have had in years. And the staff are friendly and attentive without pestering! Thank you for a lovely meal. We'll be back.

My mum and her friends came for a meeting at the pub today over lunch and said the food was amazing. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and she couldn't praise you highly enough! Great to have our local pub doing so well again. All down to the brilliant owners and staff. Thank you :-)

Called in yesterday with a large group on our annual classic motorcycle rally for lunch, fantastic service and food we were all 50 of us very impressed, big thanks to Mel and all the staff for the wonderful hospitality.

Had a lovely carvery at the jolly today just one thing you MUST leave room for pudding. If you haven't been for a while like us the jolly has had a make over including repositioning of restaurant which is really nice. Look for the rope light.
A beautiful example of what pubs used to be in the best way - friendly staff, honest food, and decor that gave me a flashback to my childhood. This is the opposite from a gastropub. We came for Sunday lunch without a booking and they fitted us in. The food was tasty, was it the most amazing Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten? Maybe not (however the roast potatoes were simply amazing), but it was a decent, tasty carvery with good meat and staff who obviously cared about food and making their customers happy. Strongly recommended for the experience and atmosphere.
What a find! When holidaying in the area we always return to this great pub and restaurant. A fantastic family run place with the right mixture of everything. We loved the Saturday music summer session and we weren’t the only ones! It’s clearly very popular with holidaymakers and locals alike. The new menu brought us even more choice than before and we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work here.
Wow, what a lovely place! We, a family of 4, had the Sunday roast and it was perfection. We all tried a different meats and the sides and sauces were delicious. One of the best roasts we've ever had. The chef was helpful and talked about the cooking process also! Also it's great that little ones can get a baby bowl of roast alongside their parents. As for the pub, it's decorated very cosily in a prime location opposite the beach and with ample parking. Another commendation to the staff, they are very welcoming and helpful. We only booked our table 30 mins before and they responded to every message. The landlady was present talking to lots of customers and the place has a very upbeat friendly atmosphere. Will def return, we loved it.

Quiet this late in the season on a Thursday at 13:00h, the owner is friendly though and the kitchen is open nonetheless.
Busier Thursday Friday and Saturday nights with special events such as Halloween fancy dress (see their Facebook page ;-) ).
Had Sunday lunch at the Jolly fisherman in late June and very glad we did. Food was delicious, portions extremely generous and the host (Mimi) couldn’t do enough to help. It was like a proper family Sunday lunch like my mum used to make…highly recommended. Hope I can get a table in future now 😉😳
Very nice place well worth a visit. Had the cod and chips and I must say that was the best fish I have had in a long time and the ' jolly famous family recipe beer batter' WOW just WOW I have never had batter like it, not greasy,so tasty and sooo crispy, amazing!!! my only criticism is I would have preferred fresh cut chips I didn't like the frozen ones, just my personal preference would still give 10/10
Never been here before so thought we'd give it a go and we was not disappointed. upon entering the place it had a nice warm feel to it, pleasant welcoming staff. We ordered food and drinks, the food took a while to get to our table but it was well worth the wait, it was absolutely perfect! we'd highly recommend eating here as we'd definitely return.
My husband had the beef madras curry and said it best curry he has had in years. I had cheddar burger with homemade coleslaw and salad it was enormous. Sister in law had veggie curry and said it was really good too. Polite staff all round.
What a find! Two of us (and husky) enjoyed a terrifically tasty and leisurely lunch yesterday .. battered cod and chips with mushy peas and battered king prawns with chips, salad and onion rings .. freshly cooked to order and generous portions . Great service all round and the bar man thoughtfully brought out water for the dog without being asked. Highly recommended.
Lovely food & friendly service! Don't be put off by the 1st small room you enter thru if coming from the car park. It looks a bit dated (70's) but the main bar & restaurant area has been decorated very nicely. Have also heard their Sunday Roasts are fantastic so hoping to come back soon to try that!
Loved it!! We had a short fact finding holiday based in New Romney and visited here one evening and got greeted and treated as locals, which was as wonderful as it was surprising.
The food was awesome, hot and VERY plentiful - I ordered fish n chips and what I got was whale n fish, it was ruddy enormous, more than I could eat, but it was truly delicious.
As a drinkers pub it delivers too, plenty of choice of alcoholic (and non alcoholic) beverages and a very pleasant outside seating area, and as the pub occupies a corner plot very close to the beach there's plenty of space.
All in all, highly commendable and well worth a visit, but if you're intending to eat, make sure you're VERY hungry!!
Very warm welcome, food was lovely. The place is also dog friendly which was nice since we retreated there for lunch after a walk on the beach with the dogs.
The crab was delicious, and my steak was very good as well. The children enjoyed their lunch too.

Had Sunday carvery (you need to book in advance) and it was excellent. Plenty of meat and good choice of veg, suds and desserts. Deffo going back 😋
We had a great Sunday carvery. Food was fantastic well worth the £18 price tag . Service was great and very friendly.
Was visiting family for a couple of weeks and had the Sunday carvery that was delicious, played bingo and even got my ploughmans fix the night before I left, even though the kitchen was about to close!

Excellent service, managed to squeeze us in for Sunday carvery - which was absolutely spot on - lovely food, large portions and even went the extra mile to make something different for my daughter - would recommend and if I am ever back down their way again - would definitely return. Top marks from me A++++
