Okay, no joke, the food here tastes better than what we have back home in Indonesia. Easy 5 stars! We did had trouble finding the place though (hint: it's inside Queensway Market).
One of the best Indonesian foods in London. The taste is authentic and comforting, with consistent quality. The service is also fast and friendly. Best of the best menu items are: nasi rendang meal and cendol.
Good reasonably priced food and met my expectations. Nasi lemak was £9 and so was beef rendang. It was fairly full by 12:30.
Teh tarik was also available.
Having had a number of indo/malaysian restos in ldn this one has by far the best beef rendang in the city. The coconut rice is cooked with perfection, the beef is marinated with just enough level of spices for the flavours to seep in and texture melts sublimely in your mouth. The bakso is refreshing- personally thought it was a bit watery.
Drinks wise the teh tarik was authentic- maybe because of added ice it was not as creamy. Recommend it hot if temperature allows (not for summer). Prices are almost too good to be real.
Downside of this place is that it doesn’t have many seats- but it’s fun to squeeze in with friends and feels local to see the local indomie and kopi bags on the glass shelves.
The food here is authentic and super tasty.
I would highly recommend trying their seafood laksa and their fried rice chicken, the green mango chilli sambal is perfection and extra spicy. I would definitely visit again!
I'm of Latin descent, so I prefer a cozier atmosphere. I felt as if I went to someone's home and they prepared food with loads of love. Their chili sauce was perfect. I'm half Dominican I normally don't eat spicy food.
I ordered the coconut rice and ended up asking for more chili sauce. :)
The owner was so sweet. I will come again.
Good Indonesian cafe located nearby the Bayswater and Queensway underground stations, very accessible. The food is halal and amazing, very tasty. The price is reasonable and the staff are very friendly. Give this place a try to have Indonesian food in London.
Had a bowl of Bakso, Tempe Mendoan and Es Cendol.
Definitely fullfilled my craving for Bakso 🥲
Es Cendol was a star !
Tempe Mendoan is cold but that understandable as they don’t fry them at the place.
Real indonesian warung’s vibe for sure. Bapak took my order and just memorized it, paid at the end and asked what I had, just like warung in Indonesia :)
Will come back when I visit London.
A small, hidden-away gem moments away from the Queensway Tube station (inside the Queensway market). It's a relatively small place, so you may have to wait if it is busy. I went at 3pm on a Sunday when it was relatively quiet. There's a small menu, with only 2 rice and 2 noodle/soup dishes. The host was really welcoming, and was able to let me know the meanings of the items on the menu. Heads up -- if you don't know Rendang is the curry and Bakso is the beef meatballs with noodle soup. I had the beef curry with rice, and it's accompanied with a salad of carrots/jackfruit and greens. I also recognised a spoon of chilli (fresh) as well as some cucumber slices. I really enjoyed shredding the beef cube sand making a bite of all the different tastes. I'll have to try the Bakso next time!
For dessert, I had the pandan/cocnut cake with a cup of hot teh Tarik (hot steaming frothy milk tea with condensed milk). I was really happy and enjoyed this meal, it was made with love and the taste was really delicious. I will be back to try the other dishes and can recommend this heartily.
Me & my husband went to this resto, a new branch from its original cafe from Bayswater. We, both were very satisfied with the quality of the food, generous portion size, reasonable price, helpful service. Thank to the server pleasant attitude with warm welcoming service. The atmosphere in the restaurant were peaceful, bright & relaxing, where I can enjoyed my food. Will definitely going back. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
