I went into the Tavern after leaving the train station whilst waiting for my in laws to pick me up. I had 2 ciders and they were quite refreshing. All of the patrons were friendly and Jessica has a lovely personality and is very welcoming. I am American and she did not mind me playing Pink the entire time until I left. This is a very nice place and a good place for Tourists if you want a good drink for not much money. The fireplace with coals was an added bonus as it was pretty cold outside that night.

This place is an exceptional ale and cider house... Friendly staff, an varied assortment of ale ciders, lagers, spirits, non-alcoholic and minerals too. If you are visiting Great Yarmouth this is heartily recommended. I have returned to this fine establishment yesterday, and I found the same level of exceptionalness given by Jess and her staff, plus there was an open fire with coals blazing lovely and that made it even more special, I do recommend the flavoured ciders especially the lemon meringue one.

After having some trouble finding cask ales in GY, The Mariners served our purposes very well. Good selection, a warm welcome and an even warmer fire.

A good old fashioned local pub. Real ales and ciders that are always kept well and switched often for variety. Whoever serves you is friendly and open to enquiries. They have taste pots in case you're unsure of your choice before buying. Often an open fire in winter. A haven for real ale enthusiasts.
