Been to the star tonight for their festive meal..... absolutely superb. Thank you to anthony & all the staff. The food was amazing, can't recommend the place enough. I'm not going to eat for a week now, there was so much food. Thank you for a lovely night xx
First visit to The star and definitely won't be the last. Staff are so friendly and the food is top notch so nice to have steak cooked correctly. Lovely atmosphere and made very welcome, would and have recommended this pub to friends and family. Will bring the clan next visit.
Second visit in recent weeks hadn't booked but the lady behind the bar on both occasions found us a table even though it was packed out food was out this world the best steak n ale pie I've ever tasted all the staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble for them brilliant pub and eatery
Top food good hosts and all round a well run pub.well done to all the staff .can recommend Saturday nights.
I go to the star regularly because the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is lovely I have never had a bad meal there .
The Star is becoming our regular place for a family (normally 12 of us) Sunday Lunch. Great home cooked food. Freshly prepared and enormous portions. Great service from friendly staff. Need to visit in the week to sample the other menus.

First time we have had a meal at lunchtime but would recommend it to people. Staff friendly, service quick, food delicious and hot. Have booked to take our friends next week
Been to the Star a few times for food and the weekend entertainment and its always spot on but went for Sunday lunch for the first time yesterday and it was amazing, lovely homemade food and the gravy ���. See you again soon!
I had never been to this pub before but it had been recommended to me so I organised a get together for a party of 19 of us & I wasn’t disappointed at all, the service was above & beyond, they couldn’t have done anymore for us. The food was lovely & we had a bonus of entertainment that finished off our evening. We will return hopefully very soon. X

Well first time visiting don't usually do pubs. Nice little place. Only thing I didn't like is the staff had to sit in-between the toilets and the smoking room to eat their lunch. When the whole Restaurant was completely empty. It just looked wrong . Apart from that the place is OK 👍
Always welcoming, even though I rarely visit as now live out of the area. They even remember my drink of choice! Superb food too and always busy so book ahead!
Love this place food is amazing and always get look after by staff especially the lovely Emma and the owners Dawn and Mike are the best.
This is an average pub which serves the community well. Good menu, with nothing unexpected. Faggots were lovely, although had to wait quite a while for the food to arrive (and pub wasn't busy). Several drinks were missed off the order. Everyone was pleased with their meals.
Love the food here, always so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff are attentive and always check on you throughout your visit. Great drinks selection too.
Had a birthday lunch with my grandchildren here. What a lovely find! Prices very reasonable, pub nicely decorated and clean and the food was really good. I'll be back. Maybe a Sunday lunch next time.
We were let down by a venue after a funeral so 18 of us went to the star. They were very welcoming.we all had meals. The food and the service was realy good.

Nice pub, the front outside area could be better needs tidying up glass on the floor and weeds, could do with some decking, nice pint tho 👍🏻
Wonderful afternoon tea for under a tenner.
Very good value for money, assorted sandwiches, pork pie, warm sausage roll, chutney followed by a good selection of cakes , topped off with the usual jam & clotted cream scone! Coffee or tea to wash it all down.

Delicious food, friendly staff and no shortage of choice from the menu, also, plenty of choice behind the bar too! We both chose the same meal, chip shop platter, it came out piping hot and the presentation was fantastic, felt like a kid in a sweet shop, we'll definitely return, as we have over the years, awesome 👌
