The food, service and ambience at the Green Man are always very good. A little disappointed they didn’t have fish & chips on the adult menu, but all the food ordered was very good. In particular the burger and the chicken were excellent.
First class welcoming and attentive staff. Great green surroundings. Of course great variety of dishes. Gems of Chelmsford. Always surprise me with new dishes. Love the Suffolk Chicken.
Food and service both excellent. The menu includes a varied and very good selection of different 'plates' - enough to suit the vast majority of tastes. The food quality was first class.
Background music was a tad too loud, but was not overly intrusive.
Certainly a restaurant to be recommended.
Really great lunch. From the warm welcome at the start, to the attentive & friendly service from Emily (apologies if i've got her name wrong!), great food and a good selection of drinks. Was good to see a non alcoholic wine offering on the menu.

We had a fantastic dinner for our anniversary here. The food was simple but beautifully cooked, we had the chateaubriand for our main to share which was absolutely amazing!! The staff were very warm and welcoming too and overall we had a wonderful evening here, we will definitely be back!
