Lovely pub; food is always beautiful. I booked about a week in advance but they lost my booking, luckily it wasn't busy so we got to eat. Staff are lovely but I feel like they do forget about you and you're sat outside.

We all had a 2 course Sunday Roast. Food was decent, plate was full and the quantity of meat was great but the meat was a tad to fatty for my liking. The cocktails were so good though!! Pina colada was my favourite, just how I like it.

Lovely place, ample parking, friendly attentive staff and absolutely delicious freshly prepared food. Best fish (meaty fresh fish and crispy light batter) and chips, most incredible ribs and home made burgers. Even the salad was fresh and to a high standard! Staff were happy to swap my fries for a salad. Very accommodating. Just very very good over all. Can't wait to try the Sunday roast, although I hear booking ahead is best!

The £12 two course lunch meal was fabulous. The liver was cooked to perfection on bed of beautifully soft roasted root veg covered in a glossy gravy. Lovely chips with the fish and chips. Our starters were also both made with care. Small details like the crunchy bite of the tartar sauce elevated the food above the average pub grub. Definitely will return soon.

Last time I visited was 5 years ago when it was the Anchor. What a transformation! Really pleasant staff, great food, decent range of draught beer to suit all tastes but limited on cask (but hey, 1 cask is better than no cask 😁) the pizza deal was a win; 2 pizzas and 2 sides for £25 and was spot on. Looking forward to being back in town to visit again.

We held our wedding reception here on 12th August. The staff at the Waeccer (particularly Danielle) were very helpful and attentive and created a great atmosphere with our decorations! The buffet was of great quality, and plenty of it too! Very good feedback from our guests on the options and the quality. I’d recommend the Waeccer for any wedding receptions/ private hires, they won’t let you down. Thanks everyone.

Just been to The Waeccer for a roast, it was absolutely amazing! Best roast I've had in a restaurant for a long time, portions were very good, food tasty and lovely staff. 3 courses for £27 is an absolute bargain. Our waitress Lucie was really lovely. We will definitely be coming back, highly recommended!

We went on a Sunday so there was only the roast available. The choice was very good and the roast itself was amazing. I had 1/2 chicken, my companions had the beef, the mixed meat and the pork. All said it was fantastic and our friend even went so far as to say it was possibly thr best roast he had ever had out.

Good food, not quickly delivered to the table though. The mains are good value, the desserts are shockingly overpriced for two bites. Will go again, but next time I'll cross the road to the Coop for my pudding.

Went for lunch on Saturday. Nice pub with very welcoming staff. There was an issue with the system not sending our order to the kitchen so there was a long wait before our food arrived. When it did, it was excellent. We were given drinks on the house to make up for the wait. Glitches happen so it was no big deal. Will definitely return.
