The Puffing Billy - Great Torrington - Photo album

We came yesterday for a roast, there was 10 of us and the staff were great and did a big table up for us. The roast was delicious and service was brilliant as always. Thank you for accommodating a noisy bunch of kids (and adults) we really appreciate it! 😊
Been here a couple of times now and felt I needed to write a review. Firstly the coffee is superb! Not only that but, the waiting staff are attentive and helpful and the surroundings are pleasant. I’ve eaten here on both visits and enjoyed it, but today I had the all day breakfast and it was amazin
Great lunch stop in an old railway station. Sandwiches were excellent and the ginger and marmalade cake is lovely. Good atmosphere and attentive staff. Would highly recommend. 5*
Was very happy to see somewhere open early for breakfast on a Sunday, as a lot of places don't open until mid-morning. The premises are very interesting, and the breakfast food was enjoyable. My mocha tasted amazing. Not a huge problem at all, but we would have apprecitated better communication on
Had a lovely lunch, good service, nice environment and easy to park for free. One downside, get an electronic fly killer in the old platform area of tearoom, we were constantly swatting flies away from our food. We would definitely return though.
The Puffing Billy Cafe is a great place to enjoy a relaxing drink & meal in some beautiful scenery. The railway memorabilia is fascinating. This is only a cafe, but it is worth the trip.
Had a lovely Sunday roast, the food service and location were all lovely. It was very busy which shows how popular it is but this in no way impacted the service and there was very little wait time. The cakes looked amazing but I was too full to get one!
Cycling along the Tarka Trail, ideal location to stop for lunch. The menu was great, plenty of choice and quality. So we cycled there again the next day for more! Very popular, but not too busy for a great service.
Had a lovely lunch here on a half way stop on our bike ride down the Tarka Trail. Lots to choose from, and got choices for vegetarians and vegans. Delicious ice cream too. Nice little souvenir shop. Large outside seating area.
Amazing venue with such engaging staff. The food has the highest quality ingredients that's shows in the taste. The roasts are lovely at a reasonable price. Filled inside and out with such positive happy customers and hosted by friendly and professional owners. The best day was had with lovely food
