Fantastic experience staying here. Communication before we stayed and helping us before we got to the Blue Boar Inn on route. Room was comfortable, spacious and we had a great nights sleep. Enjoying a cup of tea in the room with Complimentary biscuits was a nice touch, especially after coming back f
Having stayed at the Blue Boar inn whilst visiting Thursford Christmas show, we had a superb time, and can't recommend this place enough. The landlady Sue was lovely, she made us feel like family. The food was excellent and our stay was over far too soon. We will definitely be back. Well done!
Awesome local pub with lots of character & architecture. Landlords Sue & John are so warm & friendly and welcoming, it became our second home. The food is fantastic & the beer great !! A must go to pub if in & around Great Ryburgh.
New owners deserve to be supported. Good food over three nights...nice beer garden where the dogs were welcomed. Dogs can go inside but the weather meant we were better offoutside. Proper country pub. Use it or lose it!
The new owners are very nice and we got chatting about old times when we lived there about 40 years ago. The food is excellent and is well worth a visit. Ease support your local pub and any people want too stop for a meal and a drink this is a nice little hidden gem.
We stopped off for a drink and some food. Top chef, food was excellent and service with a smile from friendly staff. Beautiful location, tranquil beer garden opposite a wonderful example of a medieval church. Would highly recommend a visit.
I arrived at 2.05...asked if i could have a hot meal...the landlady happily said she would cook...and made me a lovely steak and ale pie...the lounge had a wood fire so it was a warm meal too...
Everyone was friendly and I am happy to recommend visiting this pub
The new owners are so welcoming Lovely food, great karaoke night the lady sings amazingly . I’d definitely recommend and will be going back soon
We really liked it here.
A friend eats and drinks here regularly and whilst it is a little distance from home, we decided to take a ride out.
The Landlady greeted us. Very friendly and welcoming. The Inn itself dates back hundreds of years. Would be very cosy in the colder months with the fire li
In all the years that we have frequented the Blue Boar never has the food been warmed up and other reviews say it all regarding friendliness and the standard of the freshly cooked food. Our visit on the 22nd of this month was no exception with each of us (4) thoroughly enjoying what we chose to eat.
Had such a lovely home cooked meal, plentiful and absolutely delicious! Such a good choice on the menu, and alot of local produce on offer. Full of character, and got a friendly warm welcome. Can't wait to go back again!
The warm and friendly welcome from Laura made us feel like we were locals. Our evening meal cooked by James was truly astounding. The whole experience is one we hope to repeat again and again. Norfolk is our favourite place to visit and The Blue Boar Inn is now top of our list for accommodation. Tha
We love this place. It's in the next village to us. It may only be open for 4 nights a week but it's just perfect. Laura, the landlady is so friendly. Her husband James is the chef there. The food is just to die for!! Excellent!!!
