Excellent Pint and service! Pretty good on price for coffee and cake too. I like what they have done with the refurbishment. Good stuff looks very clean and presentable in the front bar too. WiFi available in the pub which is excellent and it does work in some areas outside in the bear garden but near the pub. Pretty fast speed too. They do good BBQ's I have heard so will be good to savour one at some point. Good stuff. :-)

Fantastic local pub, heaps of atmosphere, great individual rooms, nicely decorated, edgy. Friendly helpful staff. Kitchen/dining under renovation so only sampled a cake. I can’t wait to return on my holidays next year.

Recently moved to the area and this is my new local, so I've only been going since Oliver took over. Oliver, his son and the staff are all very lovely and this place is feeling like a real centre for the community. The booze is reasonably priced and I very much look forward to the full renovation being completed so that the kitchen can be used. Though in the meantime, they make the most of the outdoor BBQ and the burgers are delicious.

Under new management and currently not cooking food so instead we got a great ploughman's. Get one between 2 as they are huge! Also recommend the lemon drizzle cake from the cafe.

Charming little place perfectly located for a post walk drink and meal in the beautiful Chiltern countryside. The wonderful dog friendly beer garden is a bit of a sun trap, great place to spend a lazy afternoon. Had the pasta Graziemille which was lovely - they also have Sidepocket For a Toad from Tring brewery on tap - what’s not to like!

Wonderful pub in a beautiful setting. Service outside the front of the pub due to social distancing measures. Service was great with a measure of good banter. Would recommend to any thirtsty cyclist or hiker going through this neck of the woods.
