The Black Horse Pub And Eating House - Great Missenden - Photo album

Had a lovely evening watching the band (a great and varied set of covers by 'Overtime' rock band), with local beers and homemade pizza (which was delicious! - we made use of the 'pizza-and-a-pint' offer, great value). Lovely, friendly staff. Good location and nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be
Went for an impromptu roast, having never been here before. Despite it being at the end of the service the team were very obliging and friendly. And food was very nice too. Will definitely go back
A fantastic place to visit. I regularly travel there as the pub has really come on since it reopened under Josh. And the quiz night they host is fantastic. It is a pleasure to drink within. And with accommodating and professional staff like Becky there, it is a great place to pop by for a drink, foo
Lovely, friendly people running the pub. Dog friendly. Spoke to us as if we had known them for years. Food is great, try the steak sarnie! Was surprised at the great value when I settled up the tab. Huge outdoor space also. It's clear the Landlady really cares. Will definitely be going back.
Under new management and now serving food! Visited on Sunday for a Roast and was not disappointed. Lovely Lamb roast with all the trimmings and a gravy that was 'out of the world' good! Lovely friendly staff and pretty surroundings. A must try after a Sunday walk in the surrounding hills and woodlan
Visited today for Sunday lunch with friends. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough to assist us, given we had twins in a double buggy plus a toddler to accommodate. Roast beef was excellent, they also clearly care about using locally sourced ingredients. Would highly
We'd looked menu up online which looked lovely before visiting on a sat eve. We arrived there was only 1 couple in there finishing their meal. Unfortunately the menu had changed that day it was a very limited choice we had squid to start which was lovely and beautifully cooked, I had a burger with t
Popped in as we were in the area and we wanted somewhere to watch the rugby; glad we chose here! It is a little bit out of the way, but is certainly worth the trip. We didn't eat, but the beer and wine selection was decent. It was a great place to sit and relax with friends/family and a drink. And a
Enjoyable pub to visit. Young, friendly landlord very enthusiastic to provide a pleasant atmosphere & experience for his customers. Friendly locals also. Well-kept ale. (Rebellion IPA for me.) Recently refurbished kitchen, but we didn't eat so no opinion on the food.
Nice to see the pub open again, nicely refurbished, clean and tidy and an enjoyable pint to be had.
The Black Horse has just reopened under new management so we popped in for lunch to test it out. Chesham sausage and mash was delicious, as was chicken tagine. For dessert, rhubarb panna cotta and lemon tart were excellent.
A lovely little country pub! A friend took me here, along with some work buddies on a snowy afternoon after work. A cosy, warm & welcoming (dog friendly) pub nestled away in the countryside, with plenty of parking & a fire! Good selection of drinks, great food along with vegan (im not a vegan) and a
Thank you to josh and team for a lovely meal, excellent service and friendly staff! Will be back to try more of the menu!
Under new management, an extremely well presented establishment with a wide selection of drinks available. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Dogs welcome. No food yet but should be available from August I believe! Strongly recommend!
