The Yews - Great Glen - Photo album

This is my favourite pub/restaurant in the Leicester area! The food is always amazing and was a reasonable price. For starters, we ordered the garlic sharing loaf, which was a weekly special. For main course, we ordered the “Korean Chicken Duo”, “British Chicken and Ham Hock Pie” and the “Smothered
Popped in for lunch today. Wow !!! lovely place, fantastic atmosphere with great decor inside. Friendly staff ,clean and tidy.
First visit to The Yews and would happily return! Ruth was a great host and even went out of her way to find our pup some treats while we ate. Food was lovely, opted for one of the specials and it was delicious. Would recommend!
As a regular customer at the yews for a number of years the place always has a very warm and friendly feel. The staff always make you feel welcome and are at hand to look after you. The trio of roasts are a treat!!!!!
Yews has always been a family favourite. Atmosphere is always very tranquil and intimate, and usually the service is very good too. Unfortunately it just starts to feel like the standards are starting to slip. Two steaks, medium and medium rare, both served well done, after a waiting time of 40mins
Would give a 4.5. Service was really lovely but unfortunately quite slow given they were understaffed - appreciate this isn't the fault of the bar staff. Hopefully they will manage during the Christmas period. Loved the mushroom & ale pie. I'm not a vegetarian but I think there were lots of great
We were a party of four who had lunch here today. Will who looked after us and the rest of the staff we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. The food was superb, it has a lovely inviting atmosphere and we had a very enjoyable time.
Nicely prepared meal in pleasant surroundings. Fairly busy and think the staff were a bit short handed, but those there were trying hard to provide the best possible service. All very friendly and helpful.
I went for lunch today with my grandson and his girlfriend. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food delicious. I had the No leaf salad and the flavours were amazing. It is a beautiful old building.
Lovely food in a quiet country pub (even though busy wasn't noisy). We had the trio roast which was perfect, good value too. A bottle of the El Pico Cabernet Sauvignon was lovely too. Service was a little slow to start with, but it was busy and once they took our order we were well served.
A classy pub with brilliant service. The food was very good, and the service was top shelf. We go every year we visit family in Great Glen and we will again when we come back. Loved it.
Had a great first visit here - was busy, glad we booked a table ! We were seated in a nice restaurant area (table of 4) and had plenty of room and comfort - the food was brilliant and great portion sizes, the desserts were plentiful and the banana ice cream was very nice ! Friendly welcoming staff
Came here with 2 friends for a meal. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and piping hot. I will definitely be returning.
First time back here in 23 years after moving from Great Glen to Milton Keynes in 99. Staff very friendly, and food cooked perfectly. It was nice to come back home, thank you. 😊
The waitress, Little, was great and really pleasant. The food was good and the staff made an effort to fit us in at the last minute.
