What a fantastic place! My wife and I thought we'd drop in for a light lunch when we had an hour to spare. I have never been made to feel so welcome, so quickly, as we did here. Russell introduced himself immediately, and then went to great lengths to explain what local produce he had bought in today, and how he could serve us something delicious. Everything is home made, ingredients are locally sourced where possible, and the results are delicious. Cyclists and motorcyclists are welcome, and Russell is a keen fan of both sports. The walls are adorned with interesting bits and pieces, and his wife's products are offered for sale too. I can best describe our visit as follows: we walked in not knowing Russell, and left feeling like we'd known him for years. It felt like a friend was cooking us lunch. His enthusiasm, and passion for what he does is intoxicating. A really lovely place, which will absolutely become somewhere we visit regularly. Amazing. Cycle. Motorcycle. Walk. Drive. Just visit.

Super friendly place, even the other dinners were chatty. Coming from up north were most people chat anyway it felt like being back home. The food was lovely, beautiful homemade pastry on the goats cheese and leek quiche. It's a case of. I've got this and this, what would you like to go with it. Obviously there is a menu but the chef is happy to deviate. I went on a recommendation 40 minute drive for me, will definitely go again. Cash or PayPal

Hidden away in High Roding with plenty of parking across the road. Can just stop there for a coffee, cooked breakfast, cakes or full Sunday roast. Lots of tables outside, welcomes cyclists and dog walkers. Frequented a lot by cyclists which I have found a good guide to the standard of food.

Stopped off here while on a bike ride, was very pleasently surprised! Really accommodating towards cycling, with some nice vintage memorabilia decorating the shop. The food was absolutely lovely! On top of that I was really surprised at how reasonably priced it was! Considering I do most if my riding round London, I'm far too used to paying £10 or more for a cafe stop, so only paying £5 for a lovely portion of poached eggs on toast and a bottle of coke was exactly what I needed. The service was excellent as well and Russell was so polite and very accommodating. I will definitely be visiting again and massively recommend Dore's Kitchen to anyone else, cyclists especially.

Really friendly welcome, cake is just like mum made (this is a good thing!), he had steak sandwich, I had smoked salmon pate.... Both delicious. Full English looked and smelled awesome. Everything is served as a handsome portion size. Looking forward to coming back.

Great place to pull off the road. Light lunch or just a coffee top stuff. Russels enthusiasm and determination is infectious. Proud of sourcing his local ingredients. Pop in and see for yourself. He will soon need a bigger car park 😉 We only stopped for coffee and a slice of very nice coffee and walnut cake, but will definitely pass by again for lunch.

Unique drop-in, fresh homemade food, Russell's hospitality and chit chat, spontaneous vibe, no pretentions. A hidden secret, for everyone from passing cyclists to ladies that lunch. No other place in the area comes close to this for customer focus. Say what you want, they'll come up with something.
