The Starr Inn Restaurant - Great Dunmow - Photo album

Six of us visited for Sunday lunch at noon, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. All three of our courses were brought out swiftly by courteous, capable and kind staff. The food was excellent in every respect: beautifully presented, tasty, and decent portion sizes. The decor is modern
Beautiful building, friendly staff and great food. Surrounding area is very picturesque.
Absolutely gem of a find. Did not expect such good food. Service was top notch too.
Brilliant place for both food or just drink. The food is very good. Incredibly tasty and very reasonably priced. They have wonderful outdoor tables that go into their gardening patch - very fresh vegetables and fruit! Perfect for a nice relaxed drink in the sun. Good selection of beers on tap and my
Lovely clean place, good friendly staff. Food was cooked to a very good standard, and served well. Served to table within reasonable waiting time. I will be returning to try another dish.
Staff are very helpful and so friendly, the rooms in the hotel are just right and you couldn't ask for a better location. I was able to see the kitchens when I was there and must say they were spotless. I would really recommend The Star as a pub, restaurant and hotel. Also there is plenty of off ro
I went to the Chop House with my club using the upstairs function room. We were given a choice of three main meals and puddings before our event and the food was excellent as was the service. Tea and Coffee were also included in the price we paid which was not exorbitant.
The service was excellent and the food was great go again
The food was lovely but the service let it down a bit to be honest as the side dishes to accompany our meals arrived so much later than anything else. It was a very nice meal though.
Lovely interior. Food very good. Staff are polite and helpful. Drinks at the table were a little slow in arriving but overall a very enjoyable experience.
Came here on Friday lunchtime...absolutely yummy ...had cod and the big fat home made chips they were crispy on the outside fluffy inside ...desert was a great big slice of cheese cake with rhubarb ...the staff are so fantastic they go out there way to see that everyone is catered for and the chefs
Nice setting, but no avocado or brown bread on a Sunday morning when there is a coop 50 metres away coffee serve in micro small cups you can't even get your finger through the handle gone in two sips.
Really lovely 19th century, listed, coaching Inn where the stables have been converted to provide luxurious accommodation at extremely competitive weekday rates, inclusive of a fabulous breakfast menu. Located in Great Dunmow, a picturesque old Essex town, it is less than 15 minutes from Stansted ai

We were at a private wedding party, the food was lovely and just kept coming ! The staff were very helpful , Iā€™d highly recommend and will be back šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž
Great place to stay. The rooms are very well appointed and finished to a high standard. Very hospitable staff. Ideal location for Stansted Airport
Good food (the sausages are a must try!) and friendly service from the front of house staff. Well worth a visit.
Delicious food and the waitress and chef took my food intolerances and allergies seriously. The wine was expensive however. Dog friendly bar.
