Had a lovely walk from Marbury Country Park and we were ready for lunch. Arrived early but our table was ready and it wasn’t too long until we could order. The food coming out of the kitchen looked lovely and we weren’t disappointed when ours arrived. Superb Sunday Dinner with all the trimmings, even a pig in blanket and stuffing with the beef. Good selection of vegetables with cauliflower cheese as part of the deal. Service was excellent with lovely friendly staff, very efficient and could have more veg if wanted. Completely stuffed by the end. Would definitely go back.

A proper taste of old England. The setting is beautiful - a lovely old village with gorgeous views over the Cheshire countryside. You can even see the telescope a Jodrell Bank on a clear day.

Lovely pub. Reasonably priced. Very friendly and a good atmosphere. It was a busy Friday night. Food was good but not great. Service was similar. We had a nice time.

The quintessential English village pub. It's an absolute gem...the food is quite superb...the inside smells of English oak and is set in the most delightful village setting. Not sure if they do food for the family dog,but they are very accommodating for canines. Upstairs they have some wonderful rooms: just in case you have over-indulged with the local fare washed down with too many Gin&Tonics.

Just a lovely pub to visit in a lovely English village. Sunday dinner portions are just amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. Staff and service is exemplary, will definitely book a table here the next time we are in the area.

Absolutely stunning village location steeped with history. The food we had homemade steak ale & mushroom pie with chips and a selection of root vegetables has got to be the most tasty pie I've ever eaten 😋 the pub is idyllic inside with a roaring fire much needed on a cold day, staff really friendly. I would highly recommend a visit if your ever in the area. And the village itself is pleasant to walk around.

Gorgeous village with nice traditional pub. Decent ales abd looks like a comfortable restaurant area. Tables outside on very quiet village road overlook the church abd historic village stocks.

Hard to fault this lovely old pub. Gentle atmosphere. Pub clean and well decorated. Clearly been carefully updated. Staff friendly and smiling. Even on the hottest day of the year. Food is obviously prepared on site. Fresh, tasty and great quality.
