Visited for a relaxed birthday trip. The staff were all so friendly. Food in the tearoom was fresh and tasty. Joe served us on the till, and although extremely busy, treated every customer with full concentration, a polite attitude and very efficient. Food came quickly despite a full house. Got gorgeous Bircham buns for later too. Really good experience.

Great campsite. Family friendly. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Plenty of space for each camping pitch. Nice little park for kids. We had a super tasty breakfast from the tea rooms on our last day, it’s definitely worth a visit. Very relaxed check in and easy to follow email. Thanks for a great stay and for the marshmallows ☺️

A lovely place to visit. A few animals for the kids to see and outside play area. Tea room is lovely. Kids and adults are able to climb to the top of the windmill, kids can bake their bread best of all you can buy fresh bread and cakes to take home. A lovely experience when you are looking for a quieter more relaxed day out

Awesome place for a visit with children. Lots of interesting exhibits and things to see and do. Nice playground and sandpit. Delicious cakes, tasty coffees, freshly baked bread. Great service and friendly staff. If you stay, you can expect a peaceful, family and dog friendly campsite with a small number of pitches. The facilities are clean and warm. I didn't give a rating for rooms because we camped but the shepherd's huts looked lovely and cosy.

We camped here for two nights in July. The instructions we received ahead of our trip were perfect telling us exactly where our pitch was and how to find it. The campsite is small and friendly. The showers and toilets are very clean, and the washing up facilities were spotless too. The site benefited from the addition of a games room which was ideal for keeping little ones entertained. There was also the bonus of a fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle if needed. On the last day we ate in the tea room. Tbe breakfast was amazing- all good quality ingredients cooked well. After eating we went up the windmill and bought an iced bun for the long drive home. The iced bun was declared to be the best ever tasted by my 12 year old and I do agree. Id recommend calling in for fresh bread or a bite to eat if passing and I wouldn't hesitate to use the campsite again either.

This was a really nice experience. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Is wheelchair accessible but some places are across grass. Making bread was wheelchair accessible and staff have a fold up table that they fold out, which makes it easy to make your bread on. They also have cakes and buns freshly made on site, which you can't turn down. Would highly recommend this place.

Really friendly helpful staff. Has a lovely warm atmosphere. Wind mill is not working but still nice to look around. Bread making is a brilliant thing to do with kids and they cook it for you ( takes 30mins to cook) but is well worth it as it is delicious. And the cafe has really nice food. Must be good as lots of locals eating there too. And has a climbing frame with a slide and two swings for kids as well as a sand pit. Great day out will go again and maybe make a whole loaf from scratch next time.

Visited the windmill during a lunchtime stop off. The food was delicious and their bread was just so fresh and tasty, as were the cakes. Only warning is if you want to go up the windmill it's basically a set of ladders so make sure you're not wearing a dress ( or at least have shorts under). It also has the opportunity for you to make your own bread, which we saw a couple of families having a lot of fun doing. Despite how busy it was (due to a car show on the attached field) all the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend stopping here for a bit to eat and a look around.

The Windmill can be visited. You can go up to the top of the windmill using ladders. Children can make their own bread there. Inside the windmill there is a bakery. The bakers are very nice and friendly. There is also a café and it is very popular. It serves nice food and drinks. There is a campsite behind the windmill. It has a great games room where kids can play.
