Fantastic little eatery. Very dog friendly with indoor and outdoor space. The pepperoni pizza was delicious- one enough for 2 people. Great spot for us relax in a late afternoon after this leg of the Cleveland Way

Had the best pizzas that we have had in years! Staff went out of their way and organised a gluten-free pizza, which was deliscious. Found out the table top did was nit attached to the base when my brother went to push the table slightly away from him and ended up toppling his drink all over him. Had he not been drenched through, we would have spent more time and money.

Pretty, homely, well-considered dining spaces indoors and out. Dogs welcome outside. Sunny lunchtime when we visited but there was a covered veranda and tables under canopy. Lovely pot plants around the patio, and crocheted throws on the benches, gives a colourful, country crafts vibe. Lovely place to be. Food was home cooked and very nicely presented. Shipyards IPA and cloudy cider on tap. Good selection of cakes (boxed up for us to take-away) and their evening menu includes pizzas (from their pizza oven in the courtyard). Will have to come back to try those another time! For now, we can highly recommend this place for a bite to eat after a long morning walk to Roseberry Topping.

Impromptu visit to the poorhouse for a coffee before our walk. Fantastic and very popular place the staff are very welcoming and attentative we ordered coffee and I had I think it was called a roseberry rascal (after the climb we were about to embark on our walk) a type of rock bun with cinnamon accompanied with both Jam and Butter as a bonus for those interested the building as the name suggests has a history which if asked the staff members are more than willing to explain and there's a photo album and printed sheet explain both the history and the owners images of renovation work carried out to get it to its very impressive current state well worth a visit if not just for the coffee and cake as the menu looks impressive too. I've put a photo of Roseberry Topping just to put it in context

We only popped in for a coffee and cake, both were lovely, I had the fruit scone with just butter and jam, my partner had the victoria sponge cake and a pot of tea. There was plenty of room inside with a few empty seats plus a seating area outside. Very nice staff, we will be back again. Cost in total £12
