What a stunning restaurant. This is one of the best Turkish food I've had in a long time. My sisters treated me to this gem of a restaurant for mt birthday. The venue and atmosphere was lovely, definitely one for the gram. We had the hot meat platter and it was massive we couldn't finish it between the three of us and had to take the rest home. Was treated to a lovely birthday song by the staff, have to say the service was 5* hands downs the best service I've experienced in a long time they really make you feel special and valued. Can't wait to come back to try the seafood platter.
Excellent Turkish restaurant. Was so refreshing to have a top class meal with top class service.
Food was to the highest standard, the lamb was so tender and cooked perfectly. Starters, main and dessert all of a high quality and excellent presentation.
Service was impeccable. They have so many staff you are never left unattended, and the service was prompt.
The restaurant decor is very nice, and probably reflects the owners attitude to running a restaurant. Well thought out, modern and extravagant.
Price is towards the high end. 2 of us with starters/main/dessert came to around 120. For me, its worth every penny.
Wow what a stunning place! I cannot fault this restaurant, service was on point, food was amazing and cocktails delicious! Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. There was a live singer who interacted with guests. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

Without a doubt one of the best meals I’ve had recently! Great lunch menu - 2 courses for £14.95 so excellent value with plenty of choices for both meat eaters and veggies! Staff are efficient and friendly offering excellent service, the decor is classy and stylish and I can’t wait to visit again!

This is located just off the motorway M25. The junction into Chafford Hundred. It's only 3-5mins walk from the train station. Neighbouring residential homes and it's about 3mins drive from "the lakes" shopping centre in Essex.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with outdoor seating available. The interior is gorgeous and toilet decor believe it or not is quite grand 😀🤩
The restaurant layout is smart with loads of seating. Adequately staffed and they were helpful and polite with attention to detail.
The food was so fresh and tasty, I enjoyed every single bit of it. One of the best Turkish restaurants I have visited.
The kitchen area is open and you can see the chefs working their bits which I find really good.
They provide doggy bags so no cause for worry if you can't finish your meal. We had platters served as we came for a friend's birthday.
The made exceptions for us to take pictures etc however they close at midnight so please ensure you don't overstay as they will ask you politely to leave so they can set up for the next day.
Super fast and amazing customer service, they cleared the tables quickly and dishes were brought to the tables quickly as well. We had barely a 15min wait between when the drinks were served and when the food started to come out of the kitchen 👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 super efficient system at work.
The drinks menus and food menus are quite robust.

The best Turkish around and I travel in from Kent! The food is amazing! The atmosphere, service and decor is top draw. Usually similar places like the Kara are snobby she they look down on you if you have kids but not this place. 10/10

Well we loved this place, been past it a few times and now decided to try it out, the food was just perfect, the meat was tender and succulent, the portion sizes were big, service was great and the atmosphere was good. We went on a Tuesday at 7pm, the place was just under half full but by the time we finished there were only a few empty tables. Pricing is a bit high I would say but it's worth it I think. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in the area by far, we will return. We had king prawn and scallops for starters, lamb Shish and mixed grill for mains
Better than your average Turkish. The chicken shish is amazing! Good vibes and atmosphere. A bit pricey, but portion size is filling so value for money. Great customer service by the entire staff. Huge thanks to Faruk for his hospitality. Highly recommended 🙌
Loved our evening here for my step sons 18th birthday. Great food, lovely cocktails and good service. Loved the decor too. A hidden gem.
We went here after going go karting at Lakeside karting. What a great Turkish restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing, staff members were totally awesome. The food was absolutely fantastic. Well worth the wait as we didn't make a reservation. Music was great too.
Must say this is the best restaurant I have been too for a long time.

Great food and lovely surroundings. We went on a Friday night and they had live music which was very loud we couldn’t hear each other. Other than that the space seem buzzing with just enough parking spaces.
We had a lovely exam results celebration lunch. The service was fab, and everyone is nice and welcoming. The food from the lunch menu is great value. We had Sucek (photo), followed by Salmon.
Kara lounge has plenty of parking, and good vegetarian options if you're looking for those. It's a very enjoyable lunch.
First visit here, lovely setting, friendly efficiant staff. Food was served quickly and very hot. There was a singer which added to the atmosphere, I believe she is only there on a Friday and Saturday she sang requests. The portion of the main meal was very big I could not eat it all but a doggie box was available to take home. You only have 2 hours at the table but you can sit outside undercover to have a drink. Would definitely go back.
Good looking & comfortable inside with lots of space. Nice bar & lounge area. Food is very good (loved the complimentary warmed flavoured flatbread with dip). Presented nicely with friendly service from the gents!
Overall, the Kara is a really nice place to visit, the decor is exceptional, very "instagramable" with comfy seating and a nice vibe.
The food itself is tasty, with good portions. They bring you bread and some sauces which I thoughts were delicious, we ordered a number of starters which started good and perfect for sharing amongst 3 people. The prawns were huge, but the sauce they come in could have more depth.
The service was great, really polite and helpful staff, although I did find it was inconsistent as we had 3/4 people wait on us. That said no complaints and were really accommodating to our seating needs.
I would say the ambience could do with some work, louder music as sometimes it felt like we could hear other tables.

Easy to get to location. The menu has a variety on offer, the food here stands out from other Turkish restaurants. The quantity and the quality of the drinks is good and it isn’t too expensive. The service was above and beyond, it was the perfect experience great for group gatherings and special occasions!
very attentive service from ahmed, food and drinks were delicious, and will definitely be coming back! very glam and over the top “essex” with the neon lights and fake flowers and smells thorough out the restaurant, but food was great… maybe a bit overpriced… but who knows with the current climate crisis…
