Great pub! Amazing food. Great value.
My expectations were not high, pub is at the end of an industrial estate on busy & not very good roads. Pub looked a bit dated. But really nice pint of ale, an extensive menu great value, big portions & great quantity.
Had a long walk along the shore line on a very hot day. We stopped at the Ship and Lobster for a much needed cold beer. And very welcoming it was. The quality of the roast dinners looked impressive and we will go back and sample them. Nice outside seating area.
Call in here every Tuesday. The staff are always very friendly and provide an excellent service. Sandwiches are good value and portions are really good. Good choice of beers, which change regularly. If you are passing I would recommend you call in.
If you want to experience a traditional riverside pub, with good home cooked food, lovely welcoming bar staff and a friendly atmosphere, this is the pub for you. I eat there with my family every week and have never been disappointed.

Just googled a local pub and The Ship and Lobster came up and wow what great place, food is absolutely fantastic and the staff are friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere. Fish and chips was perfect
The pub is very old. But the staff are lovely. The food is amazing and very well priced. The view over the river is great. We will diffinatly be going back.
A friendly reception, very generous and fresh food. The prices are incredibly good value. Could do with sprucing up - but it is a dockyard bar, after all.

Good selection of beers and ciders, the menu looks inviting.
Fantastic views of the river.
Just what a traditional pub should be like. A great place for a drink and relax watching the world go by on the river. The food is outstanding, but please take a large appetite with you as they don't skimp on the portion sizes! The service from the staff is top class too.
Lovely pub, looks like the lockdown has resulted in a really nice facelift. There’s usually several real ales but only one at the moment due to COVID. Food is genuine home cooking and plentiful. Views from the benches across the Thames are stunning. Beautiful part of the country.
Go to this pub for a Sunday Roast every week with the family including a child. Friendly staff and children are welcome, the staff go out of their way to engage with all generations and a lovely meal. Would recommend.
Quiet and serene pub with the best customer service and food. Heavenly soups and bbq wings. Gonna visit again soon.
A truly unexpected treat hidden amongst the rougher edges of the Thames. Terribly well-priced with outstanding portions. A must go to for a bite to eat and a couple of pints by the river.
Lovely staff, food and locals beers.
Quirky, but full of character, when you find it. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing and so reasonable, good home cooked food.
The portions are plentiful.
We will definitely visit again, our grandson wrote the review below and sums it up perfectly
I’ve never been to such a warm and welcoming pub, the food was great really good value. The staff were great with our son, even the locals .. highly recommended
