Quaint cafe. Come here for the village warmth and friendliness. We had vege breakfast and pot of earl grey. They were so lovely and offered to top up our pot with hot water if needed. Breakfast is great, perfect eggs with runny yolks. Wish we weren't too full, cos the teacake looked delicious.
As soon as we walked in to the cafe we were warmly welcomed. The food which was delicious arrived very quickly and we had lovely tea out of china cups and teapot - absolutely charming. This is a gem in the Yorkshire dales and we will return.
Lovely and clean vege full English, friend was very happy with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Pleasant staff and helpful walking advice. We forgot to tip so this review is partly an apology (so sorry) but mainly a genuine account :)
I had a lovely ploughman's lunch and mocha today. It was such a pleasant location and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Afterwards, I had a browse around the bookshop and bought a novel for my holiday reading. I really recommend a visit if you happen to be in the village.

Love the bookshop and the cafe is fab!!!!
An easy way to while away a couple of hours. Go in the bookshop, buy a good book then go in the cafe and buy all the brews and cake you desire while you read your book.
Beautiful coffee and the croissant melt was amazing. Really friendly warm welcoming cafe with great staff. Will definitely come again!
Great book shop and cafe. Lovely staff too. Highly recommended. The tea loaf and chocolate orange cake are superb.
