Freda & Ray - Grasmere - Photo album

One of the best spots in Grasmere. Coffee was delicious and the cake a very generous slice with loads of flavour. A range of speciality soft drinks in a can for refreshing lemonade as well. The staff are friendly and very polite. Outside seating can be a little sun trap as well if you pick the right
Freda + Ray is a lovely dog friendly cafe in Grasmere. Stopped here before walking around the Lake, staff are really friendly and the food/coffees were awesome!
A quick stop whilst in Grasmere for a coffee and some cakes. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Located right in the centre so can get busy but everyone still had plenty of time to offer suggestions.
Popped in to Freda & Rays’s cafe during a rain interrupted trip on bus. Lively little cafe full of local chatter and a sense of well liked by everyone who visited. Only ordered hot drinks and cake but both were well received. I look forward to visiting on a drier day.
We had breakfast and a pastie. The food was generally good. The only thing they could improve is the coffee is the americano was somewhat weak in flavour. The coffee review is based on 2 visits.
I've been coming to Freda's since they opened and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and exemplary service. The menu is small, but what they do, they do incredibly well. The quality of food is high as is the service. I'm always met with a smile, and made to feel welcome. Of all the cafes in the area
Called at Grasmere late morning - busy as ever & a bit rainy, so we looked for indoor seating where we could take our dog. This café was ideal, dog friendly (our dog was made very welcome & got fussed by the staff), and still serving breakfasts, which we wanted. We chose the vegetarian breakfast but
Called as a party of four with a dog. First time we have been in. To be honest we were a bit unsure as it was empty (everywhere else seemed very busy) but nothing ventured nothing gained and in we went. So glad we did as firstly, we beat the rush which came about ten minutes later, secondly, staff w
Had the best coffee in a long time made by a lovely lad called Anthony. Also enjoyed a sausage roll with very thin pastry, finished off with an almond slice. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in here for a drink and a bite to eat. Wife had the smoked salmon sandwich which she loved! Topped off with a lemon and blueberry cake which was also delicious. Lovely location and really friendly staff as well. Would highly recommend
My wife, our dog, and I had a fantastic experience at Freda and Ray café in Grasmere. The café's dog-friendly policy was a big plus for us. The service was prompt, with our meals arriving at our table without much wait. The staff was friendly and the café itself was clean and tidy. Overall, it was a
Visited on Sunday 14th of May 2023. Staff where friendly and the coffee was so good I had two. You can tell time is taken to make the coffee and present it, a true art. Cakes were tasty and staff didnt mind us eating our own packed lunch and even took the rubbish which I was not expecting Thanks
Had a wonderful lunch at this place today, will definitely be back. I had the Dellys Beans which was absolutely delicious and really flavoursome. Mulled wine which was super tasty and finished off with an almond slice 👌. I came with my dog and they were lovely and friendly. Great work guys!
We stopped in here for coffee and a bite to eat. The coffees were fabulous, gorgeous latte art and wonderful flavour. My fiancé had a great sausage roll and I had a yummy scone. Great place to stop and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Grasmere.
Best Brownie I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, didn’t eat it until I was 2 hours away. Had I known how good it was, I would of brought the lot! Amazing Breakfast too!
Had lunch here and the food was good. I had the halloumi sandwich with a oat chai latte which was very good. The cafe itself is very cosy and comfortable. Definitely recommend!
Best coffee we’ve had in the Lakes. Not the cheapest place for a sandwich, but did have really friendly and helpful staff and it’s in a good spot.
Lovely cafe in Grasmere. Staff are friendly and the coffee was great. Delicious Bakewell tart too! We'll be back.
