A splendid centre open to non Quakerswith generous food and welcoming atmosphere. A lovely garden located near the centre of Grasmere with spacious parking
I had recently fractured my leg and ankle. They were happy to receive a mobility scooter from a hire shop.
They managed to accommodate me on a ground floor room at very short notice. Then i was offered a disabled friendly room when that became available, complete with a wet floor shower room.

Glenthorne has always been a great experience with attentive staff that make you feel welcome. The location is amazing with enough ground space to sit down and enjoy the views around the guest house.
Not possible to fault! Spotlessly clean, nice staff with friendly service. Food was plain but well cooked. Rooms simple and very clean - they've coped with extra Covid-19 measures really well and it all felt very safe.

Fabulous accommodation, food and wonderful, most helpful staff. Very tranquil atmosphere. Situated on edge of Grassmere village (200 yards away)which is small but beautiful with much surrounding terrain to explore, either by car or great hiking terrain. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Very comfortable rooms and excellent meals. We stayed for a course of circle dancing for my partner and walking/running for me. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Absolutely lovely, I enjoyed my weekend and the staff was kind and friendly. The meals were delightful and the service was perfect.
