We had our wedding reception there. The staff were outstanding from start to finish and we had a beautiful day. Setting, service, food, attention to detail all first class. We'll head back for an anniversary meal every year for sure. Great memories, thank you guys.

Fabulous evening! Staff very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Three courses of delicious food, a take on scampi with veggies in a minty creamy sauce, then a perfectly cooked steak and then the most gorgeous white chocolate and peach creme brûlée washed down with prosecco. Hubby had a fish curry followed by panacotta which he said was superb. The restaurant was beautifully fitted out and it was lovely to see the chefs cooking in the kitchen! Wonderful.

Well that was a lovely lunch! Every morsel was delicious and the pannacotta with lavender jelly was divine! The staff were just the right mix of friendly and professional and the much improved decor is stylish, contemporary and relaxing.

We stopped by here for a few drinks on our way through Grantchester and were so impressed with the gorgeous setting, great selection of drinks and in particular the excellent staff! Although we didn't have time to stay for food, the menu looked so good that we made a point of coming back two days later for a Sunday roast, which were cooked to perfection and hands down the best Sunday roasts we've had in a long time (the veggie wellington especially). They're also dog-friendly and have some really lovely outdoors spaces to sit and take in the surroundings. 10/10, highly recommend!

The staff were friendly and polite. My teapot came without a lid so the waiter said he would get one but it didn't arrive so I had to ask the waitress who came to check if everything was ok. I had stated I didn't eat meat and had an allergy to crab and nuts and was served appropriate sandwiches and cakes but was disappointed not to get a prawn sandwich like my friend did as I had told staff that I can eat prawns and smoked salmon. We only had three small finger sandwiches which we felt was a very small portion although the bread was very fresh. The scones and cakes were delicious. Overall though we enjoyed the experience and thought it was reasonable value.

Nice restaurant, delicious food. I had Fish & chips, loved it, crispy and tasty. The village is very beautiful and starting point for a lovely walk to Cambridge.

The Rupert Brooke is one of those true jewels in the country. The pub is lovely and quaint but the food is modern and delicious. I will say if you're over 6ft you will need to duck when you enter but when you get into the restaurant it is truly lovely. The food is fresh and delicious and the desserts are amazing. If you're ever nearby I definitely recommend taking time out to go there and enjoy what they have to offer

Very Good. There was some little things that could have made it better. We started off in the bar. They can not give change because they don't have a float? Really? Once everyone had turned up we went over to our table. Taking the orders was quick and the food turned up fast. Once we finished the meal some of us ordered coffee, that took a long time to turn up (the place was not busy). The food was excellent scotched egg, main and desert. The dirty chips was amazing! It is not a cheap-eats place so you except everything to be very good. One of the bowls had a lot of chips on the edge (broken bowl) but was still used to serve. I ordered a lamb dish (with peas, carrots, onions) that came in a big bowl so it was not easy to eat (why a bowl?). The décor was really nice. Overall the experience was very good and the food was excellent, with a few attention to details it could get 5 star.

The restaurant is lovely and the fresh, vibrant decor makes it a lovely place to be. The food was exceptional and we really enjoyed it. The roast chicken was the best I’ve had in a long time and there were some original non-alcoholic cocktails which the drivers in the group enjoyed. However, we’d flagged we were bringing a baby and would need a high chair. We weren’t offered a high chair and were sat between the service hatch and hostess station - we had to use our pushchair for the baby but it was in the way wherever we tried to put it. It would have just been useful if the restaurant had let us know they were not baby friendly, as this isn’t clear from the website.

Visited as an adult family group, sat on the terrace upstairs which is really nice, good comfortable chairs, plenty of space, very clean. The standout thing about this place is the service, it is exceptional, you feel like you are engaging with the person who owns the restaurant, very relaxed, friendly, genuine, attentive, knows the menus inside out, nothing is too much trouble, really leads to you feeling you have been somewhere special. The food was all good, very good actually and the menu is good for lunch or dinner. This is how you run a restaurant!!
