Poor looking menus on shabby beer stained paper could fool You, this place has tasty and exiting food. The portions are great, and staff are lovely.
Great to see the pipes from the organ still in pride of place. Nice fish 'n' chips with 2 fish. Worth a stop but take ear plugs as the Juke box has some awful sounds.
First time I have visited and it wont be the last. Generous portion sizes of food especially good value when taking advantage of the government eat out scheme. Really well organised with COVID 19 precautions. Staff were super friendly n welcoming.

Great atmosphere and ale. Been back recently (currently live in The States) and found they're currently experimenting with their menu and some chef's specials at really good prices. Worth checking out!
Usually ok but have to stand in a queue at the bar. This is unfortunate for patrons sitting near the bar as you end up listening to their private conversations. Food good but just heard rumours that it could be closing down. Pity

Good food..not Weatherspoons now.... Now part of Hawthorn leisure group. Retains much of the Weatherspoons menu styles. Service is timely and friendly.

Only downside is the lack of option on food menu however decent establishment, cozy fire and couches as well as standard seating, fish and chips was perfect, will be back again.
