I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Despite my last-minute request for a reservation, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, managing to secure a table for my party at 8pm.
The service throughout the evening was impeccable, with the wait staff displaying a genuine warmth and attentiveness. They went above and beyond by offering a few suggestions from the menu, which greatly enhanced our dining experience.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the top-quality food. Although the portion sizes initially appeared small, they proved to be sufficient for our party of three. We were delighted to sample an assortment of different curries, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared.
If I were to make a minor suggestion, it would be to consider slightly larger portions of rice to accompany the curries. Nonetheless, the staff were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring that our culinary preferences were catered to.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, particularly for curry enthusiasts in the Lake District and its surrounding areas.

Spent a weekend away and decided to eat here for the last night. Can honestly say the customer service was absolutely brilliant, such attentive staff. It has a nice and cosy atmosphere too. The food came nice and warm and it was delicious. Portion sizes are nice and big too, look forward to visiting again in the future!
Had a lovely meal hear this evening, so welcoming, food delicious, pleasant service. No alcohol licence- not a problem took our own with no service charge and glasses supplied. Owner is a super nice guy with nothing a problem. We only in Grange over Sands for 4 days and what a find - peace, quiet and a beautiful Morcambe Bay. Try it .
we were staying in a house in allithwaite earlier this month and ordered meals for 16 people. they allowed us to pay with card upon the foods arrival and all the food arrived hot and delicious! we spoke over the phone and the gentleman who answered was so incredibly helpful and everything was so perfect- he helped us with the dietary requirements of our group (6 vegans) and the food was delivered super fast to say it was such a large order. if we ever come to grange over sands again we will be sure to visit!!! thankyou so much! x
Sat in the restaurant for a meal Thursday and everything was excellent. We then ended up ordering a takeaway from here tonight (as nowhere else seems to deliver to cartmel) and so glad we did, it was absolutely amazing and delivery was 30 mins earlier than expected too. Would defo recommend if you are in the area.
Akhi is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to this place was amazing amd the food was extraordinary but the main thing that stood out to me was the service the owner was so kind and gave us a generous discount. The only thing I would say is less tables but most people tend to take out so its not much of an issue. π― my most favourite restaurant
A very pleasant Indian Resturant, nice ambient feel, good service by the waiting team and quick kitchen staff. I enjoyed the panner (Indian cheese) based dishes.

Clean and quick service, can get very busy so booking a must, especially in a small town like Grange.
At the time of visit, they did not have a Licence to sell or serve Alcohol, but where happy for you to bring your own where they would provide glasses.
Good food, amazing service. Bring you own alcohol. More busy on takeaway. Overall good experience.
Recently had a takeaway delivered to howbarrow farm. The food was excellent, beautifully flagrantly spiced. Compliments to the chef and delivery service. Very highly recommended
Can't fault this indian restaurant, the food was beautiful and the staff are so friendly and the best service I've ever had, we couldn't get a taxi back to our hotel so the owner got out of bed and drove us back to our hotel absolutely free of charge, very obliging π if you want excellent food and excellent service come to this restaurant ππππyou do have to bring your own alcohol, which they are happy for you to do, and they do sell soft drinks
My girlfriend and I ate at Akhi's on a Friday night, great atmosphere and the members of staff were very welcoming and both of us believe the food was very good, cooked to perfection the spices were brilliant and you could tell by tasting the food it was all fresh.
I went for the royal platter 10/10 my girlfriend ordered the vegetable balti, the portions were fantastic and the flavours outrageous.
We also tried the Peshwari Naan bread, which was also amazing.
When we're next in Grange-over-sands we will definitely be visiting Akhi's again.

We was pleasantly surprised by the flavour of the food , if your staying in the area this restaurant is a must ,

Ordered a takeaway for 7 people in the afternoon for a 9pm delivery in Flookborough - everything went smoothly - quality of food was excellent and one of the group (who is partial to a Biryani) said it was the best heβd ever had - will definitely be dining in next time we are up - well done - excellent food
Just had a meal here tonight. They have an excellent menu. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food was very good would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We ordered online, which was simple. Food delivered within 30 minutes and was excellent. would definately order again.
