We visited The Coffee Pot today on Boxing Day. We drove 65 miles from Workington in the north of Cumbria as it's our nearest Filipino eatery. The Coffee Pot serves a mixture of English and Filipino food, with a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. The food and drinks were excellent, I've got to admit I've tried some Filipino food before and this time was the first I would actually eat a Filipino dish again. A sumptuous piece of chicken in soup with some beautifully cooked rice. My husband who is Filipino was also very impressed with the food. The Coffee Pot is located overlooking Morecambe Bay and there is a balcony you can sit out on to eat your food. The staff serving were very friendly, nothing was too much for them. The place is very clean and tidy run by a Filipinna who knows how to cook. Prices were very reasonable and they didn't hike the prices just for Christmas either. Five * all the way. Car park to the rear of the establishment.
Second visit and always friendly service.
Happy to order at the till, however when there on my own with the dog it wasn't easy.
Salmon soup was delicious!
Tables outside are small, but worth it for the view and fresh air.
Will come again.
Ordered off the Filipino menu - tried the Pork Adobo, Mung Beans Stew and Pork Bicol Express. Everything was good flavor wise, but the portions were a little small and underwhelming. Particularly the pork dishes, there were only a few pieces of meat served. Also ordered the hot chocolate and coffee - not sure if it was just for that day, but there was way too much milk added in both drinks.
Unfortunately, it was also a rainy day and barely anything could be seen from the windows.
Came here as its dog friendly and has amazing views, decided we wanted a bite to eat along with our drink.
They had a surprise Filipino section on the menu so I decided to try something different and oh my gosh was this delicious, I had the pork adobo and it was insane! Would recommend, the rose wine was nice too.
Will defo come back x
Stopped for a light lunch and really enjoyed it. Ate the vegan stir fry, vegan stew, carrot cake and sticky toffee pudding - all delicious. Coffee good and views over the Bay very nice. Highly recommend stopping here.
Really nice cosy cafe with good views over the bay. Friendly helpful staff with good service. Also dog friendly so would highly recommend
I love this cafe. I go there every time I visit grange over sands. The welcome is cheerful. The service very good. The views of the sea in the upper outdoor seated area are superb. Food not too expensive and some a bit different. Car parking is nearby as is a superb walk along the prom. The train station is nearby too. Toilet downstairs which might be a problem for some people. Artwork for sale on the walls. Dogs are welcome.
Excellent coffee shop, been here a number of times and the food, drinks and service are always excellent. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus, more places should be dog friendly as I am sure it increases your customer base. I’ve only ever had breakfast here, but am sure on one of my next holidays in grange over sands I will try some of the Filipino food on the menu.
A must visit in Grange over sands or visit to the lakes! You must try their Filipino menu especially the Pork Adobo with melt in the mouth pork and crispy garlic also available for takeaway to your hotel!. Their toasties are also delicious and the coffee and tea was excellent. Views over the bay are stunning from their balcony or windows. Staff are friendly and welcoming 10/10
Fancy cafe with great food and friendly atmosphere. Sedbergh cycling club will be visiting again.
Absolutely amazing little spot that we’ve just discovered on our trip through Grange Over Sands! The owner provides quite a menu of both British and Filipino treats to choose from! The view over the bay is lovely whether you sit inside or outside! Our server Linda, was super friendly, and her million-dollar-smile and cheerful personality while serving cream tea will surely brighten even the rainiest of days! Absolutely loved it and heading back for Cream Tea, Toasties, or a delicious taste from the Philippines again and again!
Great place for a lunch. Fantastic Filipino food cooked as spicy as you want it to order. Decent selection of bottled beers, fiz and wines. 6 of us sat on the sunny balcony, Fabulous!
Nice little café... love the balcony - great view and great for people watching..!
Good coffee.. good scones..jam definitely average...how about some local home made..or Tiptree! And a couple of different flavours..not everyone wants what 'claims' to be strawberry on the label(but is actually just red jam ..!!)!!
A friendly welcome with a lovely veranda to enjoy, coupled with a selection of great food and coffee. The scones were exceptional! What more would you want?
Excellent home made scones and a lovely pot of tea, and stays open until at least 5pm (unlike most local cafes). The owner is charming, and the food on offer looked very interesting.
Great cafe for a light lunch. We didn't try the Filipino options, but they all sounded delicious.
Fish finger sandwich was filling, and the rest of the group were happy with their choices.
Food is good, simple cafe food with friendly service. While there is no kids menu, they happily provided us with a sausage and some salad bits for our daughter.
Plus, great views across The Sands. Nothing to gripe about!
Good food, service and a view of the bay. Dog friendly too.
What a great find in Grange! Fantastic menu with a combination of English and Filipino food, but the English menu was traditional and reasonably priced, unlike other places in Grange! Great views over the bay and lovely staff! What's not to like!
Beautiful views of the bay and a very varied menu. My partner and I had very different plates - he had fish fingers with beans and chips and I had the vegan mung bean stew off the Filipino menu and we were both very happy. The stew was absolutely to die for! So fresh and tasty. Would love to return and try other options.
