There's no pretentiousness here, no haut cuisine or bistro menus, that's not what they do. Instead, what they do do is traditional pub food very well indeed. I enjoyed the Steak and Ale pie very much indeed, potentially the best I've ever had.

Tafarn y Bont fitted us in (4 adults and 3 children) on Good Friday. We had an excellent meal, reasonably priced! Best chips I've had for a while!! Highly recommended!
Went with family for festive menu on 6th December 22, all I can say is it was amazing value for money and delicious food. 4 courses and a mince pie for £19.90 absolutely brilliant. Will definitely book again as the other menu looked good too. Highly recommend a visit to this quaint country pub.
Absolutely amazing home cooked food. Cosy pub, friendly staff and only a short walk from mooring up. Really affordable prices and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Beautiful friendly Welsh welcome, lovely locals, great beer and cider selection and home cooked pub food. Thank you for making us visitors from the canal so welcome! Our dogs were treated like royalty too!
The staff and friendly locals made us feel very welcome. Also a nice few pints of Vale Pale.
They were kind enough to let us park our Motorhome in the car park overnight.

Nice and friendly pub. Good selection of ales, ciders and other drinks. Staff and frequent visitors are friendly. We felt at home tonight when passing by on our Narrowboat.

We were looking for a dog friendly pub while we were on holiday in the area and this place didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and the beer was very good. We also found the locals very friendly as were the staff. We will definitely be going back.

Decent food in a nice pub with friendly staff and proprietor. Ate there twice in a week. Very good beer/lager. Not overpriced either. We will go again on next visit to the area.
Stopped by after a walk along the canal. Ordered fish & Chips and drinks, all was very good enjoyed the food. Strangely, though, we were told if we wanted to eat outside it would cost us more!

Absolutely stunning scenery with a lot of nice local walks, one of those walks leading directly to the local pub.
Nice little pub with a great atmosphere, lots of friendly locals and staff to talk to and get local information from.
