We turned up on the hope of getting a table for 4. We were not disappointed as we got a table with a view. Service was good and food was excellent 😋 I had the Crab cakes, my man had Lobster one of our sons had regular haddock and the other a chicken fillet burger with cheese & bacon. All big portions! We had a bit to wait but well worth it. I would recommend Quayside Gourdon and will most definitely be back soon.

Absolutely beautiful food and excellent service!! A wonderful restaurant with beautiful views over the harbour. Light crispy batter on the freshest fish I’ve ever tasted and no lingering greasiness either. Reasonable priced for the portion sizes you get.

Lovely little restaurant overlooking the harbour where the crabs are landed. The best Cullen Skink I have tasted...and I've tasted a lot of it. Panko breaded haddock was to die for. Lovely staff too. Looking forward to coming back very soon.

Finally made it for dinner - much needed treat after an absolutely rubbish week of the family having had the lurgy. Doesn't get any better, really - perfectly cooked haddock in a light, crispy and entirely non-greasy batter; great chips, also lacking the fattiness evident in other places; excellent mushy peas. And the sticky toffee pudding and custard topped it off perfectly. Three very happy customers. Thanks!

Took clients for lunch today, one was an ex Dutch fisherman with 25 years at sea; he loved the fish and chips, some of the best he ever tasted. Fantastic lunch, well done to all.

Had fabulous meal, we three had battered haddock, our wee granddaughter was adament she was having smoked sausage and chips before we even got there. She was not disappointed. Eric loved the lobster and I have to say we all agreed we has had the best fish and chips ever. ..WE WILL BE BACK!

Always visit the Quayside when staying in Johnshaven and once again it did not disappoint. The scampi and jumbo haddock were both cooked fresh, were lovely and hot (which was good as we enjoyed them outside sitting by the harbour) and were absolutely delicious.

One of my fave fish and chips place whenever we're in this part of Scotland. Used to be our local when we lived nearby and we normally order every Friday night. Still good!

Good view of the harbour while eating. The food are good, can be huge portion so pick your size wisely. Most of the starter are tasty, except calamari made of frozen squid.

I went here for an it is on deal I received for Xmas, the restaurant was well spaced out and busy with great views of the harbour. The Food was great quality. Ordered the Cajun chicken and pepperoni and honey pizza both brilliantly made with good quality ingredients, tasty and massive, sides were the jalapeno poppers and garlic mushrooms. Both tasted great but you only get 3 jalapeno poppers and would be good if there were more. Excited to return to try out the main menu as I feel the deal menu lacked choice especially with no seafood options when your looking out on the harbour and limited sides and pizza choices, Would also be good if there was music on whilst eating.

I felt we were lucky to get into the restaurant at the Quayside when we went for an impromptu meal there one Sunday afternoon as I know it is quite popular and rightly so. The service was great. The fish and chips were outstanding. And I was even impressed with the mushy peas. Being from Yorkshire I have always been disappointed with the mushy peas fish chip shops churn out in Scotland but these were pretty good. The kids meal was of high quality too. The desserts were also excellent. We also got the best seat in the house. With a lovely view of the harbour and out to sea. Overall a wonderful and very satisfying visit to the Gourdon.

The best fish restaurant in the United Kingdom. Fantastic interior with great views on the harbour. . Tasty haddock, calamari and prawns. Affordable prices and huge portions. Perfect service. Definitely must go for every food lover. We'll be back to try different dishes. Thank you for unforgettable experience.

Been there a few times now and was impressed with the haddock, however on the last two occasions felt like going back into the place to ask for my money back. To charge nearly £10 for a very small, greasy piece of fish that did not taste that good was very disappointing. We go on a motorcycle run each Wednesday to different chippers and i can without doubt say this was the worst.

Pretty cool spot. They have some really good hallumi fries. I ate a burger and it was great! The place can be loud as the place is pretty small and tables are closer to each other. Not big deal, not so bad. I really loved the hallumi fries. The picture is the highlander burger.

A lovely spot for a meal at the harbour in Gourdon. Large windows for a great view and lots of fish and seafood choices on the menu. We enjoyed calamari, haggis, smoked haddock and prawn and chorizo pizza. The only negative was they had sold out of a few drinks. Good service and delicious food made up for it though.

Beautiful meal as always in a beautiful setting. Cullen skink was delicious and the smoked salmon Scotch egg was to die for! Seafood platter was the best we'd ever tasted and the smoked salmon salad was also brilliant. Too full for dessert! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend eating here.

Great restaurant located at the harbour. Excellent choice of (fresh and or local) fish. Enjoyed it a lot. Bit noisy however, they could do with some noise cancelling panels.

Loved the halloumi burger, best one I've ever had, and the fries were nice as well! They accidentally made regular chips for us instead of the sweet potato ones, and we got the regular ones for free and they made extra sweet potato fries for us 😋 They have some unique drinks as well, I had the strawberry, cucumber and basil soda, really nice!
