We went on a Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming. The food was superb, very well presented and tasted amazing. We enjoyed a few cocktails as-well which also were great. Salted caramel martini 🍸 was our favourite. Will certainly be going back again for another meal.

Interesting place to dine in. Randomly passed by and decided to have dinner there. Not cheap but the food is nice. Enjoyed it.

Service and atmosphere were fantastic - faultless. However, the starter and mains were VERY small. Closer to what I'd expect from a tasting menu. My husband's lamb could have done with a little more scorching on the outside and needed more seasoning and something else on the plate! A shame as we really couldn't fault the service and setting. The food largely just needs to be more generous! Puddings were great!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Well presented tasty food. Would appear that a lot of thought has been given to the menu.

Lovely venue especially if you fancy a drink on the harbour. I’ve been down a few times now tried a few different dishes and the food is honestly amazing. Lots of different cocktails on the menu as well. Staff are always friendly and welcoming can’t wait to sample the new menu!

Amazing venue! Great service, lovely staff, beautiful views, stylish decor, delicious drinks and food. I have been a few times for cocktails and lunch but have recently gone for dinner with friends recently and particularly enjoyed the duck bonbons and the salted cod.

Fabulous little place...a secret in Gosport. Recently refurbished to a great standard. Menu really good, wine list perfect. Views of Portsmouth harbour are great. Indoor and outdoor space, so good for all weather.

A few weeks ago we booked for a party of 8 to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The evening was a fantastic event. The service was faultless. Attentive, personable and professional throughout. With good recommendations on their selection of gins. Sadly I don't remember their name. The food and atmosphere didn't disappoint either. The portion sizes were larger than expected with most he party ordering the lamb with sides of vegetables and leaving empty plates. After desserts we took to the open decks to finish our drinks and take photographs with unspoilt views of the spinikar town and Portsmouth Harbour. Being at the end of the evening we had the deck to ourselves and bring the evening to an end. Thank you so much, we will be back.

The place is a great venue to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy the ambiance, however our experience was marred by pretty awful service. It took 25 minutes to get 4 drinks at an empty bar. However we will definitely be back but hope the barman will have sped up!!! We didn't have any food hence the one star.

Brilliant location, excellent food, and really attentive service! The staff were all lovely, fun and engaging. Will definitely be back for cocktails on the top deck, with that incredible view!

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely perfect time for her birthday meal. Very lovely staff and a wonderful setting right amongst the boats in the harbour They even treated my girlfriend to a complimentary birthday glass of prosecco - such a lovely touch. Thank you so much!

Lovely location, attentive service, but food underwhelming. Very small portions, no sides available. Nice, but not great, left feeling hungry. Will only return when menu includes some/ any sides. Went home and ordered a take away! 😒

Great food quality. The staff is great and friendly. Portions are in line with fine dining (which is to say on the smaller side). We went on a Thursday for dinner but understood there could be live music if you visit Fridays (please call and check). There's parking nearby (Haslar marina car park) from where The Lightship is a few mins walk. There are limited vegetarian options but we loved the mille-feuille (only veg mains option on the menu). Tortellini was great tasting too. Recommend this place.

Lovely refurbished restaurant, lovely food. Just one ask. It’s a fair walk from the kitchen to the bow tables so hot food gets cooler quite quickly, a fix for this would be really useful.

The cocktail menu has been beautifully curated, the honeycomb is handmade, the staff talk to you like you are family. These touches make this place a must visit
