We had our family Christmas dinner here on Friday night. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We were a table of 18 people and every one of us was amazed at the service and friendliness of the staff. The manager also went above and beyond to deliver the meal to someone who could no longer attend for medical reasons. A great night was had by all and we would highly recommend The Anglesey Hotel to everyone. Thankyou for making it a lovely memorable occasion.
A friend recently told me about a new Vegan menu...so I had to give it a try. I went with my mum and brother.
Everyone really enjoyed their meals the service and the surroundings.
As for the Vegan menu I loved every mouthful, it was the best food I've eaten out since going Vegan....3 years ago!!! I will definitely be back soon��
Had a lovely Christmas meal there on Sunday staff friendly and nothing too much trouble even extra roasties !! Highly recommend x
We held our wedding reception at the Anglesey Hotel and Helen the events manager was absolutely fantastic. She ensured that the room was set up exactly as we wished and went the extra mile to assist with rearranging the tables after a couple of guests couldn't make it.
The table setting, the food and the service was all first class. Can't thank Helen enough for helping us to enjoy our perfect day 👌
A very pleasant spot for a beer on a warm summer's evening. Excellent views of the Georgian crescent of which the Anglesey forms a part from the beer garden located on the front lawn.
I didn't try the food but the menu looked quite interesting, especially the tapas style dishes. A few choices for Vegan diners too.
Popped into the bar to have an evening meal on Friday. Jordan behind the bar is really helpful and the food is excellent.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Anglesey two weeks ago.. We had dealt with both Helen and Trisha prior to the day but on the wedding day Helen was not working. We cannot thank Trisha enough for her help with everything on the day. The food was good, the service excellent and The prices were very reasonable. We used the gardens opposite for photos, drinks and canapés. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and in all the day was perfect.
Always a warm welcome, great variety and good quality food.

Beautiful building, walking distance from the beach. Rooms are great. Very cosy and comfortable.
There is a buffet breakfast.
Food is delicious and enormous quantity- difficult to finish one serving.
Just one suggestion- the staircase is not well lit and might cause accidents. So some lights there would be great!
Lovely location (easy walk to the sea for a swim). Bar and restaurant have been recently redecorated, breakfast was fine.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Downside is the rooms are tired and in need of a refresh; also quite dusty in places.
But, that is reflected in the price - well priced for what you get.
Not stayed but have eaten and had a few beers. Always good food and drink and the team there are excellent
I've been visiting Gosport for many years and the improvements in the Anglesey Hotel bar are brilliant. I hadn't been in the bar here for about 5 years but the change is night and day from when I last visited. We'll done for making it look as good as it does. The food was also excellent. 👌
Had a very nice couple of nights there in different rooms and found it very cosy and nice staff were very helpful and any problems sorted right away and breakfast was very nice and cooked well and hot would recommend it to anyone to stay
Lovely room that was tucked away round the back of the hotel. Room was very hot at night but a big fan was provided. Totally not the fault of the hotel, just very hot weather.
The service and the staff are absolutely excellent as is the food we've had there never stayed there but always enjoy the bar and restaurant a really good atmosphere superb, mind you the owner seemed a bit Fawlty towers 😊

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary dinner this evening.
The menu choices are outstanding. Some of the best food I have eaten in a very long time. I had the panang curry, followed by sticky toffee pudding, and my husband had the goat curry, followew by churros.
This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. You should be very proud of your chef 👌🏻
The bar and wait staff are also so nice and friendly.

A lovely hotel that I've been visiting for a few months. Staff are very helpful and rooms are very well maintained some with a lot of character. The food is of a high standard, not often experienced in restaurant/hotels. A very well thought out menu that makes staying there an absolute pleasure.
Second time staying here. Was a great stay apart from it was very muggy throughout the hotel, especially the room we stayed in. Rooms could do with fans or even better Aircon
Only had dinner there as a part of a party of 22. Food was very good and all dietary needs met with no complaints.
A lovely little hotel,it's biggest asset is the staff all extremely nice, only real negative is on street parking.
We took my son there for lunch today to celebrate his 30th birthday. Delicious food (and I am fussy!), great service and lovely atmosphere. Thank you to all involved. 🙂
Room noisy as people were smoking outside underneath our room will little thought to the noise they were making. Check in staff very pleasant. Evening meal in bar area (very nice). Breakfast in breakfast room also nice. Parking poor. Luck of the draw to get a space nearby.

Good clean hotel. Great bar and excellent hard working staff. Good breakfast, cereal to a full English. Had a top floor room with sea view and a comfortable bed. Kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits. Short walk to the beach front. Would recommend and stay again.
