Wow, my first visit to this pub and I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and attentive and treat you like a friend. The prices are good, £5 something for a Pint of fosters and a half of coke. Sunday dinners are incredible-seriously…for £14 you can get a trio of meats with 3 yorkshires and veg (see the photos) the plate was overflowing with food. For £12.50 the beef dinner was as amazing, I couldn’t eat it all. All in all one of the friendliest pubs I’ve been in in a long time and the food is an absolute must to try. Thanks to all the staff working on the afternoon of Sunday 10th September - you are fabulous!!! We will be back 😀😀

I haven't eaten their, so no comment. Quite a good pint, served in a traditional pot, 👌. Not to badly priced. If its to succeed it has stay competitive with the gossy hotel over the rd

Great atmosphere. We went for dinner and ordered from the eat out to help out menu. Crazy deal, we left full and very satisfied. Food hot and very tasty. Portions are good and the service very friendly. Highly recommended

Had a great time here! Loved the quiz night and all the staff were great - we come every week just because it's a good laugh.

The cheers of the pub world, a great venue that has stood the test of time, located on an iconic corner of Gosforth High Street within easy walking distance of public transport links, as the one or two drinks you'll have are super and the food is excellent!

I have visited on a few occasions. The drinks are well priced and the food is really nice. We had a lot of fun playing pool upstairs. The staff is very friendly. I intend to try and convince more of my friends to come and visit.

First time here in a long time. Came for Sunday lunch, pub was quite quiet but I found that appealing as I'm not really a fan of busy places. Decor was lovely, food was lovely, massive portions so value for money. Staff were fab, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Music was also fab. Will definitely come again.

Really nice place for lunch! We'd been getting Sunday lunches delivered for a while now from here so thought we'd try an in-person midweek lunch and it was worth the trip! Their current lunch menu is 2 courses for £10, and worked out cheaper than just getting a burger off the main menu. There was a good selection of dishes and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted nice. I would definitely recommend the potato skins- massive portion, crispy and seasoned well. Really friendly bar staff and service was quick and efficient, will be back as I want to try their 5 dishes for £20 menu too!

Popped in to meet a friend for a quick bite.... staff were quick to serve and very friendly, I tried a pint of Duchers which was very good and had a good bit crack with the barman while I waited. The place has recently undergone a full refurbishment and really looks great for it, seats at the bar or booths were both very comfortable. When my friend arrived we decided to get something to eat, I went for the classic burger which was so good I forgot to take a photo. The menu had a wide range to choose croon with sharing plates too, would highly recommend whether going for a pint or food

We held a session of our book club in the room above the bar, as it was a bit if a celebration. We ordered some food, talked books and other stuff, and had a really good night. We liked it so much we think we might hold our next session there! Staff were fab.
