Awesome place. Lovely owners and staff, the food is amazing. Had a great time and will be back soon. If you've got dogs I highly recommend it as the are very dog orientated.

Fantastic hotel . A very warm greeting on arrival. Amazing service , all the staff are attentive and helpful. Needed a room with a bath .... no trouble at a very marginal cost but the room was stonking. The good was hearty and delicious. Throughly spoilt. Very highly recommended.

A must stay.... from the moment we arrived all staff & owners saw that all our needs were met. They were very friendly & never failed to smile. The room was cosy, clean & refurbished to a high standard. Both breakfast & dinner menu had a large choice & tasted amazing. Especially the steak which I had on the first night & my partner was so impressed he had the following night. Definitely see why they won CAMRA pub of the year 2017. Will be returning soon Aprille & James

This was a fabulous place to stay. We had a warm welcome and our room was great. Decorated to a high standard, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and informative. We ate in the restaurant that night and food was delicious. Highly recommend their pies. Breakfast was equally as good. We will definitely return.

Great location - back field area to run your dog free. Beautiful garden that's private and gets nice and warm in the sun. 8 minute drive from the seaside with a beautiful natural sand beach. 20 minute drive from the base of Scafell Pike if you're up for hiking the tallest mountain in England. Great entertainment - music and live bands were lovely. Friendly staff - very accommodating and kind - a genuine feeling of wanting to please.

Can't speak highly enough if the place, so so helpful and friendly. Their venison & haggis pie was out of this world according to hubby & son. I had their garlic mushrooms & bruchetta was fabulous. Won't be our only visit this holiday ❤️

This place is a really nice local pub. It's very modern and has a great selection of drinks. The food is pricey for pub food but to be fair to them it tastes amazing. Also a dog friendly pub.

Today we stopped by for a cup of coffee and a muffin. Everything was delicious and really well priced! The place is very pet friendly and our dog even got a treat. The outdoor area is very nicely decorated and the staff were so kind and welcoming! Definitely recommend stopping at least for a cup of their delicious coffee!

Having left another local hotel due to a number of issues, we called Gosforth Hall Inn and booked a room with them late evening. They were happy to welcome us and we are so glad we decided to move hotels! This place is amazing, gorgeous location, beautiful bar and beer garden and the food was perfect. Rod (owner) was friendly, approachable and along with his team very helpful. They couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfortable, and the view over the field was lovely to wake up to. We will definitely return. Thank you for having us :-)

Hospitality was outstanding from the moment we entered this historical building. Every room has a unique story to tell from the original fittings and decor to ghostly figures moving around the building. Our room was spotless and a mix of modern fittings enfused with its original architecture. The staff literally go out their way to ensure you have a great stay and give you sound advice on local attractions. There's even a historic Viking landmark right on your doorstep. When the landlady found out we had actually got engaged at the local waterfall, she produced a bottle of bubbly for us to take home. Lovely. Outstanding place to stay amongst a quiet friendly village. Highly recommend

We came here for dinner after walk up Scafell Pike. The service was great and the staff were really friendly. It has recently been refurbished and the decor is nice and cosy with a real log fire. We really enjoyed our food, but the portions were far too big for us to finish! Gosforth hall is famous for being haunted and the staff are more than happy to share their ghost stories with customers. Excellent value and would highly recommend.

Beautifully presented beer garden, very easy to park (with plenty of space). The food was exquisite, along with very friendly and helpful staff. In fact, every time your drink got a little low, they came round automatically asking if you wanted another - top service! We loved it so much, we came two evenings in a row!
