This place is a little put of the way, but as with all Toby's, it is worth a visit. The service is prompt and friendly, and the only challenge is how much you can get on your plate before things start to fall off. The value is good, the quality and quantity are excellent, and the mid week deals are not to be missed.

First time coming to this location, however very polite and friendly staff, treat you very well like a high class restaurant. The food was very nice, food of choice was the carvery, the meat was delicious, melt in the mouth. However whether it was because the heat lamps were too high, or the sides had been left there too long, items like the mash potato and veg were slightly dry, and the mash didn't appear to have been mashed 100% but for those who like the dry crumbly type mash it was very nice.. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxed, with a gentle cool breeze from the air con. Definitely one I'd visit again if I was in the area, but not the beat I've been to

First time we visited, our experience was fantastic. Great service and food! However, the second time we visited; the man that was serving our food was nothing other than a “ drip” we waiting a long while to be served, he was rude and rather abrupt! We waiting so long that even another member of staff asked if he’s been back out yet! Finally when he did come out to serve us food, he had to return to the kitchen again for more meat! We were happy to wait, but seeing as we had two small children with us who’d already had their food just moments before, by the time we got back to the table they’d almost finish their!! But, the food was amazing, and our server was very polite and helpful… even offered the children colouring books cause she saw one was upset! It’s a shame about that one particular staff member… other wise it’s a fab place to go for food!

We visited earlier this week and were greeted by a happy friendly lady who took us to our table. Our young waiter Brandon was polite and helpful. Myself and my partner really enjoyed our meals. My partner also had a lovely dessert; I was too full to have one. After our food we had coffees in the bar. The bar was homely and cosy.

Love it here. Have been for breakfast and Sunday carvery with family. The music is a little louder for my taste during breakfast but I’m miserable in the mornings anyway. I’ve also had a takeaway from here on a number of occasions. It’s huge! You will not be disappointed.

The food was delicious as usual. It was very busy due the special offer. Our only complaint is that we were sat in the conservatory on a very hot day. There were no curtains to shield us from the sun and the windows didnt open. In the end we had to change tables. Waiter was excellent.

The food as usual was just awesome, carrots could be cooked a little longer because they were hard and crunchy, but what I had was just awesome. The young lady serving us was really busy but had time to help us with any queries and was very helpful, so I gave her a tip. We did have one winge and that was it was far to hot in there, so air conditioning would have been nice, we were really sweaty but the time we finished the meals. I am now a regular at the carvery and look forward to my next visit.

Carvery was good. The place was busy. The tables were clean. The toilets could of been a little more cleaner. The queue to the carvery varied even through the day. Got parked easily. The only thing for me that let it down on the carvery was, there was no Brussels and no parsnips but I guess it is not the season for them.

Visited that Toby Carvery on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy so be ready for some waiting to be served. We were a little tired waiting, it seemed that one guy was working for the whole hall, but when he came to us, we noticed this guy with long red hair and cute freckles could just save any place and any situation! Super polite and attentive! He's gem that is rare. Let the management know ;) The food was delicious and we left the place full and happy.

Roast dinner was amazing as always but the que for your dinner is ridiculous especially when your disabled. I asked one of the young ladies serving if my husband could stand in the que until he got near the front and to text me to come join him because I'm disabled, which she kindly said yes of course but felt embarrassed because it looked like I was jumping the que. Roast dinner is outstanding!!

Staff, atmosphere and service, great. Vegetarian Salmon & Spinach I am afraid poor, too long under the heat lamps, pastry rock hard, creamy Spinach, not creamy, salmon, not inspiring the lemon butter sauce did not smell nice. Carvery, limited choice, although it was 19:50 in the evening, the standard had fallen to almost unacceptable. In fairness they reduced the bill fir the salmon and Spinach Wellington, but it was a disappointment.

Whilst I appreciate there were a lot in my party, the area we were placed in near the toilets was very warm to the point of stifling. Yep, I know, put air-con on and you get cold food, sane as the fan but no ventilation is not pleasant and no air blowing in from the open door. I have found that fans on setting 1 and directed to the ceiling and top of walls allows air to circulate rather than blowing on customers and food. Sadly I had to mark down otherwise it would have been 5 stars

We were promptly seated near the carvery as requested. There was a small queue but we were quickly served. There was a wide choice of vegetables that were cooked really well.

Been to sit in a couple of times before but this time decided to order online and collect. Ordering online was easy and took advantage of one of the deals which was very good value for money with two carverys, portion of pig in blankets and two slices of chocolate fudge cake and custard for £30! Collection was a breeze as well, staff very friendly and helpful even after I went back in to explain we were missing the desserts. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or apologetic and in fairness they were very busy at the time so a small mistake like that is very understandable. The food itself was piping hot when collecting and when we got home we realised how generous the portions were - I foolishly emptied the whole carton of meat and veg straight onto my plate and suddenly realised there wasn't room for it all! My partner took the more sensible option of dishing out the food on the plate instead had a much easier time of it! Plenty of meat cooked perfectly, and loads of deliciously cooked veg as well. An hour later we both had to admit defeat as neither of us could finish it all, whereas had we sat in we probably wouldn't have attempted so much food but this way meant we had enough veg left over for tomorrow's tea as well. Overall, two very satisfied and full customers who will probably be making this option a monthly occurrence seeing as we have a baby on the way so to have a full Sunday dinner for two people with only a 20 minute drive there and back is a no brainer. Definitely recommend this place for either eating in or take away.
