My brother and sister-in-law took us to their favourite place to eat, drink and be merry. So glad they did! We were a huge group but nothing was too much trouble. The lady serving us was attentive without hovering. She made sure everyone had everything they needed and was very kind to the children,

Excellent service friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Nice beer garden area for those that smoke. Food was really good. Good choices though a little pricier than some pubs.

The roast dinner was so tasty , the stuffing was light and flavourful, carrots served whole and red cabbage , cauliflower cheese , proper roast potatoes, chicken nice and tender and the desert wow cheese cake salted Carmel sauce and a lovely flavoured ice cream amazing and priced only £15 for two co
What a wonderful evening we've just had at The Short Blue.The food really does live up to the hype. Rich the chef is so talented. My son and daughter In law had the sharing seafood platter and it was huge and I mean really huge. I had the steak which was just so tender .Wonderful,Landlord and staff
Wonderful traditional friendly pub with supper Sunday lunch menu. We'll worth a pint or two. Nice beer garden over looking the river. They even do a plate for the dog if you ask.
Lovely traditional pub with a garden at the back. Had a delicious fresh cooked breakfast which was excellent. Definitely recommend a visit.
The exterior is deceiving. Inside is a lovely typical English pub and friendly landlord. The Sunday roast was excellent and amazingly priced at £10. Definitely will be returning when in the area again.
