A gorgeous traditional ‘old world’ pub. The building is so charming, it must be 200 years old. The menu is very interesting, with Spanish tapas and fresh paella, as well as high quality wood fired pizzas and of course all the pub classics. The garden out the back is absolutely darling and catches the afternoon sun perfectly.

We were visiting Goring so popped in to the Catherine Wheel just after lunch to check out the menu, the young lady at the bar was so welcoming and told us about the Spanish chef they have and the wonderful tapas so we booked in for an evening meal to celebrate our anniversary. The tapas was absolutely delicious. My husband loves pizza and said this was the best pizza he'd ever had. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and the service was fantastic. I'd definitely return.

A wonderful pub! It has an oldie charm feel, the staff are friendly and the food is amazing! It was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. Freshly cooked fish, with great chips (which a lot of places fail to cook a great chip). Alongside a delicious Pinot noir that didn’t shock us on price. The puddings are presented on a chalk board at your table; homemade proper British puds - sticky toffee, chocolate brownie, bread and butter etc. It is worth a visit to this place!

Four of us visited The Catherine Wheel at 6pm on a very sunny Saturday. Choosing to sit outside in the beer garden to the rear, we were lucky enough to find a bench to sit at. We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar, the prices and range were reasonable, and out in the garden, the chef had the stone pizza oven on the go. We ordered 4 pizzas (marguerita, pepperoni (x2) and vegetarian) with a 20-min wait, and they were delicious. Just prior to the arrival of 4 friends, another bench became available (lucky us!) and we joined them together to form a table for 8. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive, which is what you want from a good pub. All-in-all, an excellent experience at The Catherine Wheel. These things don't come automatically, so kudos to the owners and staff for their great work.

Beautiful little place in Goring, next to station road. Service is excellent and fast and the team here are attentive and welcoming. Parking is free for an hour at the Station Road public car park (but you still need to collect and display a ticket). Ordered the bread basket, olives, and truffle fries - even though they didn’t have it on the menu they still went ahead and made the dish. Super happy and will be back here again when passing through.

Great pub for a drink or meal, friendly staff and a very atmospheric building with secluded garden to the rear. In the heart of Goring village. Love the "hidden" toilet!

Interesting pub with good beers. Now that the John Barleycorn pub has closed in Goring, there's only a few decent local pubs left, the Catherine Wheel being one of them. Nice garden at the back.
