Delicious small fish and chips and burger, have to wait a little bit but all worth the wait as all freshly cooked and so yummy. You get your number called out so all very organised in there. Can sit in or takeaway
Got a takeaway from here while we were on holiday, the food was amazing. Fish and chips was brilliant, the batter and the chips were so crispy and didn't go soggy even with vinegar on. The battered sausages were also amazing. Got a portion of small chips however and it was absolutely massive so would maybe recommend sharing between multiple people. Would definitely go here if you're looking for a quick dinner in the area.
Lovely friendly service, Big portions, Good menu choice and very clean establishment def recommend and dog friendly
We came there while waiting for ferry as it was close and we wasn't disappointed! Fish was so delicious and fresh! We didn't eat such a good take away fish for a while. Staff was so nice and place was very clean. Portions are huge and you won't be hungry after that :)
Treat night .. greated by a lovely young lady who took our order , a first here for us and we'll definitely be back , cod bites and fish and chips were soo good , many thanks everyone 👌
Having had to pop to tesco, I decided to try out the fish n chips here. (Next door to the tesco, in case you didn't know)
There was a small queue ahead of me waiting for their order to be called. You order and pay for what you want and its cooked fresh for you. Fabulous!
It did mean a 5 minute wait, but the food was piping hot and fresh, not your usual pre cooked fish kept warm in the counter.
Fish was a good size and batter was not oily, though it was a little soggy in places, the chips were good. The staff were friendly, polite and also attentive to the people who were sitting in to eat, whilst I was waiting for my order.
Free parking outside the chip shop But for me, the option of eating your chippy dinner on the wall of the harbour across the road with sea views was too good an opportunity to miss!
Will definitely be back again :0)
Found out after talking to a friend that there was an offer of 10% off if you order online, great if you are tech savvy, unlike me 😋 (not sure if that's a permanent offer, but if you order online, worth checking)
Had the fish n chips while waiting for the ferry.
Pro's: Friendly staff, ideal location for ferry passengers, clean restaurant. Fish was very tasty and pearly white. Batter was very crisp with right layer thickness and perfect colour. Large portion ordered and received.
Con's: tad cold in the restaurant, windows and doors could have been closed.
Chips: portion nice size but lacked some flavour. A good chip should taste good without adding any sauce. Maybe it was the oil or type of potato. Its not often I leave chips on the plate. Salad side nice extra but mushy peas with mint is a better combination I find.
Only when looking for this restaurant on Google I noticed that you get a 10% discount when you order online which I find biases local customers as ferry goers would not know this.
If the chips are tastier the next time ( they deserve a 2nd try ) I will adjust my review accordingly.
I would recommend the restaurant.
Popped in for some chips, mushy peas and battered sausage for a takeaway.
Fast service and good portion sizes.
Limited parking out front shared with Tesco but there is a free car park between the Tesco and fuel station that you can use.
got 3 SMALL chips for 3 people, massive amount of chips which were delicious, 2 chips between 3 would have been plenty, very friendly staff & lovely restaurant, great value for money.
The best fish and chips I've had for years. Not greasy, crisp batter on the fish but not dry, firm but well fried tasty chips👌
