I had mushroom pasta. Wife had the fully loaded burger .and was very tasty and didn't have to wait long for it to be served outside in the spacious and intriguing Court yard plenty of things to look at and talk about .locals was very inviting and talked to us as though we new them forever. Staff where great .so if your passing call in you won't regret it
My husband and I both had Sunday lunch today at the Goodmanham Arms. We both went for the beef. When the meals arrived they both came with 2 thick slices of beef, cooked medium rare and were absolutely delicious. They were accompanied by a lovely mixture of vegetables which were also cooked to perfection. Also Yorkie pud, roasties and mashed potato. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It is definitely a step above the usual roast beef and trimmings. Would definitely recommend. 👍
Went to this lovely pub during our Yorkshire wolds way trail. The pub was really lovely with nice decorations inside and outside. We got the daily special? Pie night? And it was a very big portion of goodness and happiness :) Loved that there were different soft drinks option as well. Highly recommend this pub :)!
After our walk, we visited Goodmanham Arms, which was an experience of sampling an older public house with fine beers and low lighting with an ambience, unlike other public houses, highly recommended 😀
A wonderful stop on our walk. Traditional cosy pub. The food was on point with an excellent selection of local cask ales.
So much food. Beautifully cooked and presented. Reasonable price. Definitely best roast lunch I've had. Drinks and coffee were good too. Too full up to have dessert.
A cosy atmospheric and historic pub with great food, good ale and its own microbrewery. We have visited many times over the years and it never disappoints. On this visit just drinks and sandwiches but the presentation, and salad garnish were excellent. There are lots of great walks and dog routes locally so it can be the focus for a lovely day out. At this time of year the menu is on the daily specials board but even when quiet they cater for all tastes.
Lovely traditional pub with chimneys,v and good food and beer
One of my favourite rural retreats. About 2 miles out of Market Weighton in the village of Goodmanham lies the Goodmanham Arms.
A multi roomed pub with a single bar and olde world decor. A veritable step back in time.
Very cosy and friendly atmosphere. Maybe a little dimly lit for those people that like brightly illuminated pubs, but for me it adds extra depth.
Very Good food (selection of meals from blackboard in the bar) and a good selection of real ales (about 6 hand pumps and kept well from what I have tried).
There is outside seating and tables in the yard facing the small brewery and others around the front and back (but no dogs allowed in the actual back beer garden).
Lovely in the summer months and cosy with open fires in the winter.
(I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility. You would need to double check that, sorry!)
Parking would be at a nearby public free carpak just around the bend in the road.
The road itself from the carpark may be awkward for wheelchair users regarding traffic ( due to the bend in the road).
Very popular for Sunday meals.
Perfect for that old world ambience. Myself and friends loved it! Top marks.
Had lunch with friends- during a walk - it was a lovely day and we sat outside. The food was superb with large portions and staff were lovely.
A very unique Ale house, unique setting its like a step back in time. Very cosy with a great selection of real ales, staff are always friendly and helpful, food is great! I had the Goody Burger and chips today and it was superb!
Beautiful old fashioned pub with coal fires and tasty food. Staff are very friendly and attentive whist also serving good beer and ales. Good sized area outside for those who want to eat or drink or both Al fresco. Parking can be found on the main street in front of the pub.

This pub is a complete gem and not to be missed if you are visiting the East Riding of Yorkshire. Tucked away in the quiet village of Goodmanham, historically it was a Tetley house, later Theakstons and now sporting its own micro brewery - All Hallows Brewery. 8 hand pulls serve a range of their own beers, some Theakstons plus several guests which were in excellent condition. Food well priced, tasty and a good plateful. A pot of gravy bubbles on one of 3 open fires. Superb olde worlde atmosphere with many nooks and crannies plus a lovely outside seating area that catches the afternoon sun. And as though that isn't enough the staff are all friendly and welcoming. Loved it! Many thanks
Found this little hide away pub just though Market weighton.Very oldies worldly two lovely open fires.Afew different cosy rooms to sit in with lots of museum pieces.Beautiful place.Staff so friendly nothing was any brother to them .Now the food HOME MADE .WE had the steak pie home made chips and veg plenty of gravy. The portion are large. So didn't have room for pudding.Prices very good. Will definitely be going back .If you ring and ask they will do something for you that's gluten free.big bonus.
What a lovely little gem this is we didn't stay for food just popped by for a drink on route walking the dog and sat outside will definitely call back for food though
Great pub which, despite being in a very small village, was absolutely packed on a Saturday afternoon. Booking is essential if you want to eat.
The pub is crammed with tables which is a bit of an issue if you have mobility problems.
The menu is on a board which you're best taking a photo of.
It would be great if the board was updated more frequently as some of our first choices were sold out.
A big selling point is the gypsy pot, where food is cooked over the fire.
There is no parking and quite a steep climb into the pub. Again, this can be problematic if you struggle with walking.
The staff were run off their feet but service was swift and efficient.
If you want a proper pub with atmosphere you could do worse than visiting the Goodmanham Arms.
Lovely quaint pub with open fires and candles. Need to book for Sunday lunch as popular ! Food was delicious. Lovely little village pub very interesting items fill every wall and surface and ceiling! Staff friendly service fab. Serves real ales.
What a little gem of a place this is. Only sat outside for a drink as we had the dog who are only allowed in at non-food times (which is good) but had a look round inside and its so quirky and welcoming. Food also looked amazing. Will definitely go back.
Amazing food, fantastic service and fab atmosphere!
The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection! Cannot wait to return!
