The Compasses Inn - Gomshall - Photo album

This is such a lovely pub with a stream and beautiful flower displays everywhere. The landlord takes real pride in the garden and has won several awards. There is no better place to sit and have a pint and meal on a summer day and it is surrounded by beautiful walking country. I come several times a
Lovely place this , took my mum here for lunch and she also loved it , very well kept flowery garden and calming stream running through that you can paddle in . I had a fish finger sandwich which I highly recommend- they were not Birdseye fishfingers but proper fish in batter almost like mini fish a
Another excellent lunch on a beautiful day. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly.
The atmosphere here is absolutely stunning. The bar is inside the cottage. They have a beautiful outdoor garden that has seating. There is a stream that runs under the deck where you can sit. They are kid and dog friendly and even have a play area for the little ones. Parking spots are light so we h
So I think this place really thrives off it’s rustic status, to be honest if it had a revamp it would feel a bit weird, it’s the kind of pub that thrives off looking a little tired. I didn’t get to eat so I can’t comment on that, but I will definitely go back to try the food. The staff behind the
The food took ages to arrive. But. It was perfect and well worth the wait.
Really lovely pub. Took a break while hiking, there was live music (the southern deal) which was amazing.
Beautiful location but the foods are not up to the exception.
Great place and good food. Friendly pub. Would happily return
Very nice meal. Good friendly barman. Well worth a visit. Sitting at the side of a stream.
Friendly staff, good food at reasonable prices, lovely and large garden with plenty of picnic benches and a stream running through it. Great location in beautiful surroundings and plenty of parking right outside. Outdoor and indoor dining, and good variety on the menu too.
In the middle of a nice 3 mile Fancy Free Walk, downhill to the pub, couple of pints then back to the car.
The location and surroundings are beautiful in a sunny day feels like paradise. However, I can’t say the same thing with food. Could’ve been significantly better
The food (we both had calf liver) was amazing. Very well made. Cask beer selection is quite good for a countryside pub. Staff was friendly, the place has a homely vibe in the evenings. The beer garden looked quite spectacular, I'm sure it's lovely when the weather turns warm. We had a lovely dinner
Really nice pub, stopped on the way back for a drink. Good live music. Drinks had an aftertaste of washing-up liquid
Very nice place. Tasty food. Book a table before you will visit a pub. A lot of tourists from Surrey Hills
Nice place for stop for lunch and splash in the stream, especially if you have kids.
