Nice little cafe/shop with a wide range of alcohols including rums, gins, ales and a selection of cheeses and accompaniments. A lot of the alcohol isn't priced forcing you to ask and there were a lot of staff offering to help while I was having a look. Food was nice if a little pricey.
Lovely café and really good coffee! We love the relaxed and cosy atmosphere there. (some more plants or decorations upstairs would add to the experience). We’ll definitely come back!
Mind blowing how good my hamper was,
Pure luxury,
As good if not better than liberty’s of London
Made my Christmas 🤴
Great little deli with a whole host of ‘shop local’ products on their shelves and serving the absolute best hot chocolate and brownies when you need a catch up with friends.
Just called in for a Flat White. Really great tasting coffee!!!
Excellent independent deli and cafe with a great stock of craft beers, wines and spirits
This is such a gem of a local deli and just gets better & better each month. Friendly staff, a good range of excellent artisan breads, pastries, top quality cheeses, estate bottled wines, gins and rums. All this and & make an excellent New York Deli sandwich too. Soon to open a cosy sitting area upstairs - this brilliant little independent shop deserves all the local love you can give it ♥️
UPDATE June 2021 - Ginger Whale now has a cosy sitting area upstairs so you can eat in. Lovely friendly atmosphere, lovely menu and excellent food. They also do afternoon teas , picnic platters etc.
Great community cafe and deli serving wholesome cooked food and sandwiches. Good range of bread and croissants and cakes to die for. Coffee and cake is a recommended treat. Also sells a range of gins and wines.
On my bike riding some of the trails around Gomersal I just happened to pass this fabulous coffee shop and just had to call off. A brilliant cappuccino was created by the girl behind the counter and some carrot cake consumed. Excellent looking forward to a return visit.
We visited for the first time today after being wooed by the photos of their lovely food on Instagram.
They certainly did NOT disappoint! A cake choice to die for, gin heaven, and delicious food to take away.
The caprese toastie was one of the tastiest I've had (and I've eaten plenty insalata capreses in Italy), and my mum had the cheddar and caramelised onion chutney toastie which, she assured me, was also divine.
They have an unusual - but fab - choice of artisan foods, condiments and deli snacks, and a back room filled to the rafters with both local, and small batch gins, rum, vodkas, and liqueurs, amongst other alcoholic delights. I was persuaded (by myself) that I needed to acquire two large bottles of gin liqueur, justified by the fact it was my mum's (not my) birthday. Ooops!
Another joyous thing about Ginger Whale is their inclusivity: what a fabulous, friendly team they have working there.
This might've been our first visit, but it certainly won't be out last.
