We have been here for both lunch and dinner on separate occasions and it has been excellent both times. The staff are friendly and the food is great. The outdoor dining/ garden area is a great spot on a nice day. I would recommend booking a table in advance, as it's a popular pub. There is a good selection of beers in draft, including Timmy Taylor's landlord

Ate at The Bay Horse Inn, Goldsborough again recently. Absolutely superb. Warm and friendly welcome, beautiful dining area, stunning food and a great selection of drinks, including locally sourced, hand pulled pints. We had roasts and the portions were as generous as always and it was lovely. Asked about the selection of beers and was invited for a sample. The service was A1 and is, each and every time. We have eaten here probably 5+ times now and we will certainly be back. Fantastic pub, great people. They have a wonderful outdoor space for dining and drinking at the back also. Massively kid friendly, beautiful village ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful service and a local pub feel finished with a touch a class. Decent "gastro" grub and always a new beer to try in the stunning grounds of Goldsboro Hall. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Stopped in for a pub lunch on the way home from a short break. Great old pub, wonderful atmosphere and no fussiness from the staff. Great service from all the staff and an amazing chef.

Cannot recommend this place enough, we dined here over two nights while away with work, the food is amazing, from the game burger, fish and chips, salad, and the pie 🥧 🤤 A warm welcome with great service, we will be back when we have the next trade show in the area 👍

This review is only about the room as I didn't come for food and drinks. Overall it was a good but brief experience and I would stay again but ill leave pro's and con's for anyone to see. Pros: Manager guy was nice, Big modern TV, A/C unit, big bed, USB ports on clock (very useful in this day and age as I forgot my wall adapter for cables!), a smart phone universal dock charger, nespresso machine with some capsules as complimentary, ironing board, hair dryers, good wifi, futuristic radiator (literally never seen one like that before!), electric shower worked well. Cons: One of the bed size wall lamps was hanging off the wall a bit (nearest the window) and did not work. The floor had dog hair on it which I initially did not realise until I was leaving after I picked up a black t-shirt which I'd folded and placed on the floor to find a surprising amount of blonde/white dog hairs so I presume the floor was not hoovered before my stay, or the hoover is not powerful enough. The doors are all squeaky so hopefully the owners read this and can spray wd40 on all door hinges for all the doors as that will quickly solve the issue but it was difficult trying to be quiet for myself and I guess other guests whom I heard entering late at night due to their super squeaky door. The bathroom has bits of paint coming off and dust, especially in the vent above the shower which just needs a hoover really.. There was a bible in the bedside cabinet which I think is not necessary in 2023. Aside from that I'd stay again, I'm sure the food is good but I didnt have time to investigate.

The food is good and the choice is superb but it's a bit pricey for what it is - a country pub.

My friend and I called in for lunch, one Wednesday at the beginning of April. The place was almost empty. We found the lunch menu to be quite expensive and the only thing I fancied on the menu I couldn't have as it contained something I'm allergic to, so we settled for a ciabatta sandwich, which came with nice thick chips and was really good. We both chose a dessert and whilst my friends sticky toffee pudding was plentiful and, according to her, delicious, my Creme Brulee was nothing even remotely resembling a creme brulee. It was a slice of something in the region of a creme caramel in texture, which I dislike, had no crunchy topping and was on a plate with a couple of little pieces of rhubarb, as dressing. Our meal cost approximately £18 each and we only drank soda water, no coffee. Lovely place, but I doubt I'd go back.

I visited with a friend for Sunday dinner and it was the best I’ve ever had, so good in fact, I brought my partner 2 days later for steak! Exceptional food, great service, ample parking - perfect!

Didn't stay here, but had lunch with a friend. Good variety of food for any time of day, very good service, and reasonably priced. We left feeling like valued customers.

Just made an impromptu visit here to combine lunch with a work call. I ordered a (fish) sharing platter off the starter menu. Not only was it massive, everything on there was beautifully prepared. Whoever works in the kitchen clearly care immensely and takes great pride in what they’re doing! I’ll attempt to call via here again in future. The service and atmosphere is good too. Wish I’d thought to take a picture before I demolished everything!

Enjoyed the meal good service. The menu is good and supplemented well with specials. Just managed two courses the portions are good. It was our first time and we will go back. The menu will change in a few weeks and they are having a valentine's menu.

Stopped at this lovely pub while searching for somewhere to eat after arriving late at caravan park, what a lovely reception we got from Debbie especially as they also had a wedding happening at the same time. Home made pie husband loved it, my meal fantastic. Would highly recommend.
