Our first visit was 21 years ago! Now, recently, we have been twice more. It has changed and now has accomodation, but i have not stayed over so cannot comment. Our recent meal experience was very good on both occasions. Food was cooked and well presented and service was attentive. Very good all around.

I can not recommend enough a credit all round to the local area. Beautiful surroundings indoors and out. Exceptional staff and the owner is just as lovely. Food is so good, especially thier Sunday dinner. You always feel welcomed and Perfect for a family meal or stop for drinks. An absolute credit to the whole of Huddersfield and a must visit. 👏

I recently stayed here for my baby shower. We had drinks in the bar, then dinner in the restaurant, followed by an overnight stay in two of the rooms and a shower in the function room - so we tried out the whole package.
I can say that without a doubt this is the best venue in the Hudds area and I will definitely be returning for the themed restaurant nights, drinks with friends, and it's top of the list for any future work or personal functions.
Owner Jason is meticulous in his service delivery and helped everything run really smoothly. His whole team are friendly and professional and we just couldn't have asked for anything more.
What's more, I found that the prices across the board were very reasonable - especially compared with the quality of everything.

Went up for my partners birthday for a nice quiet meal. Had a excellent experience! Was greeted by the bar man (I think it's the owner) who was very polite in conversation, very friendly. Then the waiters were also very friendly too! None evasive and just enough to keep you going throughout the meal! Spectacular food (the burgers) which came in excellent time and left feeling very happy and full!
Very well run and they all should feel proud of what they do!

Stayed at the weaver shed on 1st May-2nd May, we arrived at 16.00 hrs via the bar and restaurant, has soon has we entered we knew we'd book the right place for us , a relaxed family atmosphere, we were greeted professionally by staff and escorted to are room , all the details of venue were given and a time slot for breakfast penciled in . The room was beautiful and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay , we used the restaurant for tea ,breakfast and lunch outstanding quality 👌, the outside sitting areas are lovely suntrap s ,we are looking forward to our return visit . We'll done Jason and your team xxxx

A lovely setting and hard to believe it is straight off one of the busier roads in Golcar. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the dining area was spotlessly clean.
Quick, friendly service and rather large portions which are always welcome!
Popped in for a few drinks Easter Bank Holiday. Great Espresso Martini and superb service. Even better they were 2 for £12
The building is lovely and decorated very tastefully. Along with the live singers, it really has a nice vibe. Staff were welcoming and the service was good, although it took a while for someone to take our order. We weren't kept waiting for the food though, which was absolutely delicious. The black pudding scotch egg wasn't available, but the chef instead created a deconstructed version with a perfectly cooked poached egg, which was amazing. My fillet steak was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection and everything was piping hot. Just excellent. We've been a few times now and will definitely be back again.
It is a quiet and peaceful place. The service is very good and I will definitely come again. The room is also spacious and clean. It is very comfortable and I love Weavers Shed

I must say the food today was absolutely exquisite, the king prawns starter has just blown me away. Can I ask, have you changed chef recently as the last time I came and had the same starter, today is insanely good and the flavors are explosive. Thank you for such a beautiful meal and service I will be back very soon
