Have eaten here a few times now and each time the food has been really nice. I had scallops for starter yesterday which are lovely but could do with a few more.. the main was sea bass which was delicious. The staff are happy, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Don't know where the bad reviews come from but I highly recommend it.
Great pub with fantastic staff. My favourite is the fillet steak which is amazing and always cooked to perfection. We love the lively atmosphere and welcoming nature of the pub.
Booked venue for family baby shower, staff, food and management fantastic. Couldn’t fault their service or the food selection we had ordered. They worked really well with us to insure things run smoothly.

Best pub and food around, wish we lived closer
Lovely local pub, excellent food. We ate from the lunchtime set menu which had a choice of two or three courses. The portions were substantial for lunch. Fresh and of good quality.
Staff are friendly and pleasant.
Went for a family Sunday roast. The roast size was massive and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a chilled Sunday afternoon
We went for Sunday roast in early morning in August. We’re one of the first customers that day. Sunday roast is delicious and price is great. We sat indoor, and the Atmosphere is great. It’s a good size restaurant. It has modern twist of old English pub feeling. There are more chairs outside. Service is a bit slower, could be better. It’s not easy to get the waiter’s attention. We had to cancel our dessert orders because it took too long. We had a flight to catch. But overall it’s a pleasant experience . If you are in the area and have 2 hours or so for a meal, this is a great place to be.
Delicious food, great service and beautifully decorated venue. Service was excellent, will be definitely coming back soon. I would highly recommend their Mediterranean meze, perfect sharing dish as a starter.
Nice place and decent food and not to expensive either, if im in the area again i will pop back in.
Staff very friendly and polite. Drinks menu is lovely, especially the cocktails! Food is amazing as usual. Many visits here and will be returning once again!

This is my third attempt to write the review but they seem to disappear.
Well I can say after three attempts is this place is the place to go.
The food was delicious and kept up to standard on each visit.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone as this is originally a recommendation from a colleague that I have thanks multiple times due to the service hospitality and delicious food.
I would like to thank everyone from the bar staff, waiters, managers and most importantly to the chefs who work behind the scenes and most the time go un noticed. They are the ones make this delicious food, that I rave about non stop.

The friends and family that I have brought here have all looked in their diaries to book another dinner out here.
Like I said above I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to have a date night, a meal out or a spontaneous hungry person.

I lived in Goffs Oak many years ago and the village pub has been one of my favorite to go to. The food is amazing and I have had the pleasure of experiencing the pub with my girlfriends.

The Goffs Oak is a lovely place. I visited there on recommendation from some friends of mine and I will definitely be going there again. The food is 10/10, staff and waitresses are amazing and service is brilliant. The waitresses are all lovely and smiley and just makes the restaurant a much better place to be in.
This is my local. Recently revamped. Great menu, great food, great drink selection.
A good vibe if you're planning to visit on a Friday or Saturday evening. Great for families, too.
