This is a seriously olde pub. Dating from 16th Century so inside it has (as you would expect) "a wealth of exposed beams". This creates the atmosphere of a down to earth pub offering good ale as fair prices (£4.50 a pint) and meals advertised as "Home Cooked" at around £11.50 a meal. So good value. Two real ales on offer: the "Westerham 1965". Well cellared and with that burnt flavour we all love plus "Spitfire" not tasted this time but a worthy option. Meals were offered from the standard menu. All good fare of usual pub grub. Additionally the chalkboard of todays "Specials". Three good offerings and the Spanish Tortilla came with a very fresh mixed salad with chips which were swapped for peas. An excellent meal but was the actual tortilla homemade? A hearty welcome from pub team running the bar who was most kind in offering to mix & match menus as suited which was really appreciated. Offered wifi code and most welcoming. Meal come promptly all very nice. Idea pub for walkers and slap bang outside is the bus stop a crossroads for bussed serving Redhill & Oxted plus Caterham and East Grinstead so no excuse to drive !!

Nice pub, has the feel of a locals pub though it has a welcoming atmosphere, great service, cold beer at a reasonable price. I have visited Godstone a few times and of the 3 pubs I have visited this was my favourite as it has that traditional pub feel. There is some parking right outside, or within a short walk.

A real village pub. Good beer. Relaxed atmosphere. People playing darts. We were not there to eat so cannot comment.

Lovely home cooked food, my lasagne was delicious with a lovely salad and slaw. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even served us coffee outside before the pub was open.

Just travelling around came across this pub by chance. Only staid for a drink but could have had some pub food if I wanted. Service was prompt and friendly. Would recommend it. These pubs needs to be supported.

I visited this pub with friends,. We all had a main meal and a desert. We were stunned at the quality of the food - superb! This place is a real gem. Really lovely friendly service, no frills pub meal. This is our go to from now on. Lovely local pub. Friendly, superb food, really reasonable. We will be back - soon!

Very nice food in this pub. Good quality and reasonably priced. There was no heating on and it was on the cold side. That would have made a better experience

Best pub food around. Having tried many options in the menu, the food never disappointed! Always open when every place else is closed.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was hearty, not gastropub, but kids liked theirs and ours were fine. Good value. Proper pub and all the better for it. We were in search of somewhere we didn't have to book. Just rock up and eat. And it more than did that.

A great pub that serves great food. Located on the edge of the green with plenty of seating out the pub this place this place is well situated. We stopped for a bite to eat and the food was well cooked and quality ingredients have clearly been used. A couple of ales were available on tap that where well served. Friendly staff and quick service. By far the best of the two pubs in the village 👌🍻😀

Great evening enjoyed by a grouph of 14 as part of our regular Supper Club. Food was good, well presented and good value for money. Service was friendly with plenty of laughs. The majority of us all live in the village so this will be another local to add to our list of venues. We will definitely be back.
