Brilliant food with very generous portions for reasonable affordable prices! Friendly bar staff and waitresses. Variety of lagers, ales, ciders and spirits as well as cocktails. I would 100% recommend The Boat Inn for a meal or just for a day/evening out for a drink anytime of the year!

Food fantastic again very good home cooked quality food lots of choices it was a Sunday so thought maybe only Sunday lunch available but whole menu and a specials board on top of the roasts for the day love the location and being in walking distance from our new home it's great to be able to have a drink and not worry who's going to drive and sitting outside in the sun whilst you watch the boats 🚣🏻 go by it's fab

Scrumptious homemade Steak and Stilton pie. Roaring open fire. Good choice of wine and beer. What could be better? Definitely will be back very soon.

Great food for a Sunday lunch - only problem was the starters (we had the scotch eggs) were really filling, but thankfully service was at a nice pace so managed to even have one of their delicious deserts!

Welcoming pub on the Shropshire union canal in Gnosall. Friendly staff and locals. Couple of ales on. Serves food. Nice canalside seating. Does allow stop overs but you must phone ahead as carpark isn’t huge and obviously eat/drink in pub. Recommended 🍺

The Boat Inn in Gnosall, Staffordshire is a pleasant, canal-side pub, with a small car park. There is seating in the bar area, which is rather smaller than many pubs. It must also be pleasant to sit outside at the tables beside the canal in good weather (if we ever get any) and watch the narrow boats passing or attempting to moor. There are also waterfowl, other birds, ponies and passing horses to watch. The food is adequate pub food, though the menu is rather limited. It is well cooked and well presented. I don’t usually drink alcohol so I can't really comment on the range of beers and other alcoholic beverages, but the lime and soda was good! The service is friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit, whether you are travelling on foot, by car, or on the canal.

Have read mixed reviews for this place but decided to try for ourselves. Not disappointed, good basic food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfect location for boaters and good moorings nearby. Clean and tidy setting. Would definitely recommend. Does what it says on the tin. 👍🏻
